That goal he scored was one of the great moments at GP, I am not sure it mattered so much for our great escape in the end but at the time we thought it did.

Er...what do you mean. It kept us up!
It didn’t in the end because of other results ?
Those results came later in the day!
no footage, though? it's strange, some of that season seems to be "missing" (i'd love to get Tabby's goal at Barnsley that year too)
yes Chorlton Bee, lovely little touch to get through, and a beautiful finish
and there's some mis-remembering here - i am 1000% (ok 99%) sure that our fate was in our own hands, a win guaranteed our survival, so the relief when it went in was real. however, in any case, it turned out that if we'd lost we'd have been alright anyway.
ruislip bee appears determined to live in an alternative universe to me, cos i can assure i was not "flat" after - i'm pretty sure i drank until i fell over that night, with the majority of that at the Griffin in great scenesgreat celebrations of a great team achievement

I’m sure I’ve got a DVD somewhere of this. (I think it was put on dvd?!) Surprised it’s not on you tube. Can’t see it on any BFC site either.

Iirc he did a lovely flick of the ball with the outside of his foot to take him past the defender before slotting it home, and yes Brook Road was absolute limbs
What a young star we had in our hands until McShane ended all his dreams.
Currently an interview with him on the YouTube channel,he certainly has bulked up a bit !
Want to feel old? "That" goal was 17 years ago today. 17!
That means @Simon W lost his phone celebrating that goal 17 years ago today, I found it, returned it to him and that was how we met face to face for the first time.

Got to be my favourite day as a bee. It’s great winning promotion but there is something extra special about avoiding relegation against the odds.Want to feel old? "That" goal was 17 years ago today. 17!
That first touch with the outside of his foot was something, never forget that.I remember being right behind Rhodes on the New Road and watched it all the way in. What a day. What an end to the season. The Great Escape!
I’d say it was who is interviewing rather than where it’s being broadcast from.Nice though it is to see former players coming back, well most of them, it's pretty pointless having these interviews on the pitch as not much of it can be heard.
