Milton Keynes today is as reliable as the Evening Standard.

Although it could be true ...

Alex Tapp

is this the same Alex tapp that cant swim?....:D:D

Alex Tapp

Surely he'd be better of in Bath. ;) :blush :suspect:

Alex Tapp

Good enough to get in a Championship side at the age of 21 so must have something about him. Been injured for the last two years.

Alex Tapp

Tapp told the Citizen: "I was there for 12 years so it's been a bit of a change for me this past week."

Been where? They've only 'been' since 2003. :mad2:

Dont like the highlighted bit!
Oli and Pinault have also just recovered from injuries!

Alex Tapp

be a good singing for those fans with Tabb still on their shirt, a little tweak here and there, bit of pritt stick, Tapp, lovely job.

Good player, injuries concern me, but I am sure he would be given a proper medical.

Alex Tapp

Midfield cover, so we are building a heart of the team from the seriously damaged. We can look forward to some hospital balls, then!

Alex Tapp

lol
Can't you just see mothers carefully peeling off those 'b' and turning them upside down?

50 games in 6 years doesnt sound too good to me

6 years ago he was a junior setting out, many don't play many games until they are 20 plus. So 50 games in 4 years in which 2 he was injured for and in a higher division seems ok.

Alex Tapp

Sounds like he could be a good player if he stays fit

centre midfielder i take it?
Doesn't look like it according to the profile in the first post on this thread - he plays on the "left flank". I hope that he can play centre midfield tho', otherwise I don't see the point of this "trial".

Alex Tapp

Unless MA's big money transfer that Don fans should be so excited about is the one he signed for Brentford last season.

I can remember seeing him play against us for the dons a couple of seasons back and he was quiet a handful that day. I'm not sure that he will offer any thing different than we already have though to be honest.

Seemed preety average when we played against MK, and we can't really afford players who are injury prone. I'd much rather a premiership loanee.

Alex Tapp

If he is fit then he offers us a bit of pace, a good left foot, a crunching tackle and some skill on the ball.

Well worth a look in my opinion.

If he can't cut it then we just cut him lose. We have nothing to lose by triallingm him and we certainly need cover in midfield.

Alex Tapp

Hopefully he would have "used up" all of his injuries in the last two years and remains fit should Leroy decide to keep him on.

but he wasnt good enough for MK Mongs ?

....because Martin Allen has a great ability to spot talented midfielders.
Newman, Brooker are the two that spring to mind.

Alex Tapp

Exactly, he would have still been there if it wasn't for that incident so its not a question that he wasn't good enough for them

Mind you I suppose if the 'centre' is somewhere to the right of Thatcher that would be true

Don't worry, they come off in the wash; normally first time round.

My son's had TAbb on his shirt since last August. :D

Alex Tapp

if he is the one who wouldnt jump in then good luck to the lad.

i think it takes a lot more courage to say, 'stuff you, i aint jumpin in no cold pool you div' than to just be a sheep and jump in.

Alex Tapp

I'd give him a month to month contract for the time being and maybe offer him a full contract in December/January time.

The bloke's got a bit of character if he refused to join in all MA's team-building b***ocks.

A decent player as well, providing he's fully fit, passed a comprehensive medical and accepted a cheap deal, he'd be a quality acquisition.

BTW....whoever heard of a Tapp that wanted nothing to do with water...........?

..................how could you have forgotten Jay Tabb....MA certainly had him down as a talented midfielder, didn't he.......?

Alex Tapp

Sounds like he's worth a shot.. Good to see that we're looking at players with good skill on the ball these days..

At least this is one player who won't let MA put him off a move to us!!

Alex Tapp

MA didn't rate Jay Tabb enough to give him a guarantee of being in his plans in 2005/

I don't think Jay said that in his post...he was pretty complimentary about MA.

MA is history now can we stop talking about him PLEASE?

The fact is that Allen was told by the board to offer Jay Tabb a contract this time last year to ensure we kept him for the foresseable future.

He offered him such derisory terms that he wouldn't sign them.

Tabb walks for peanuts 12 months later.

Yes Allen is history but this act of incompetance should not be fogotten.

And as for saying nothing about Allen, which player is going to slag off a manager in public? Not a good career move is it

yes that's probably how maddog saw it but i'll say it again, it takes more courage to make your own decision than to jump in with the rest of the sheep.

it would actually make a better story if maddog said,

"yeah, so we had them all lined up and asked them to jump in a freezing cold pool of water. all of them, bar one clever fella, jumped in. it just goes to show you how stupid professional footballers can be and how they just cannot make their own decisions."

after the swimming pool he should have got a fire out. 'come on lads lets stick our heads in. no pain, no gain, do it for the team'.
