Andy Frampton

So if he does play what sort of reception will he get?

I know he had a run in with some members of the paddock towards the end of his career at GP, but it sounds like it was Butchers fault he didn't stay.

Andy Frampton

Hopes to be fit for Saturday. Interesting bit at the end stating he was happy to stay but Butcher didnt rate him (although this may have been something to do with salary he was on ?)

At first I misread his comment about relegation not mattering much to him: I thought he meant that he didn't care what happened to the club (and that wasn't how he played); but when I re-read it, I realised he meant that it wasn't the main reason for him leaving.

I'm sure wages were a big factor, and Butcher might well have released Kev for the same reason if someone had come in. Those 2 plus Heywood on relatively high wages would have been a burden on a Lge club

I was never his biggest fan, but didn't doubt his effort or will to win, so wouldn't single him out for abuse

Andy Frampton

I liked him as a player, he has done well at Millwall.

Probably best for us if he is unfit for saturday to be honest.

Andy Frampton

Always gave his best and put in some great performances at times. Not much of a centre back IMO. I hope he gets a good reception as he seems a good bloke when i have spoken to him in the past.

Andy Frampton

Good lad, and a good performer for us. Will get a good reception from me.

Andy Frampton

I will be holding my arm at an odd angle for the game in tribute.
Framo will still get a volley of attempted witty abuse though

Andy Frampton

Plenty of abuse from me! The way he reacted to the paddock on several occasions was disgraceful. People around the time said "Its his way of showing he cares" bla bla. You get payed to play football, not swear at your own fans!

Andy Frampton

Top man is Andy, and he had to put up with an awful lot of rubbish from some supporters in the last few months. He genuinely cared about the club and always gave more than 100%. I for one will be looking forward to saying hello again to Andy.

Andy Frampton

I spoke to him a number of times when i was a member at Amida and found him to be a decent chap.He seemed to put a brave face on when i asked him about how things were going under the Butcher/Rosenior era and i respected that.Even after when he was playing for Millwall he would never slag the club off which it could have been easy to do.

That aside he was a league one defender no more. Two things always stand out for me.The goal against Bristol City in our FA cup run :sorted: and the tackle he made against Chesterfield in front of the Braemar Paddock when he nearly put the opposing forward in the stand whilst cleanly winning the ball at the same time.

Yes he lost his rag with some fans in the Paddock and some were my mates. However he showed passion and in my eyes that is not a bad thing.

I hope he gets a fair reception Saturday.

that is nice to hear. i will not boo him now (without provokation).

bit worried we were paying him too far much if he could afford to go to your gym mate!!! :D

a millwall fan i played cricket with the other week said birthday boy frampton is their hard man and the fans really like him.

I will always remember him for a Luton game away.

We turned up to find he and Mat Somner were picked at Centre Backs as our regulars were injured or suspended I think...to be honest we almost felt like turning round and going home there and then but both of them proceeded to put in outstanding gutsy performances and we eventually won the game. I think Frampton was MoM.

How did that team win a football match?

Andy Frampton

He constantly slagged the Paddock and offered a couple out... no time for him. Grade One Cock in my book.

Slightly harsh.

I'm sure he did some good things for us once but all I remember him for are those Paddock "incidents".
Kev O took even more stick than Frampton but still kept his dignity intact.

didn't that tackle end their strikers career, brilliant tackle, and if I remember rightly we didn't like the geezer so doubly good fun....no what was his name.....WEB...?

Edit: was is Simon Haworth who had turned us down under Noades...?

It was Haworth for Tranmere and he never played again.

Well if that is true then i can only apologise if it has come accross like i am reveling in that as it is not the case.I was not aware it finished his career.

Andy Frampton

Too slow. Terrible distribution.

Andy Frampton

Conducted himself with good grace yesterday. Others could learn a thing or two from him.

Slate wiped clean in my book.

Managed to have a quick chat with Framps before the game Saturday. Strikes me as a decent bloke who still cares about the Bees. I say good luck to him.

Gone East to the O's.

Andy Frampton

Good bloke is Framps.
He gave me his shirt on the final day of the season:sorted:

Andy Frampton

My condolences to the Framptons

Andy Frampton

he was crap, they're crap.. good match imho:D

Frampton wasn't 'crap' if that is what you're referring too. He was a solid player for us. Went missing the year we went down. But he wasn't crap.

More average than crap, but must be getting on a bit now.

Andy Frampton

Framo and Kev at full back were very effective and we could have had a lot worse. Frammo was a great pro and a nice guy which makes it even harder to accept that he has signed for those gippo's. A sign that he is clinging on to his proffesional career.

Andy Frampton

............good luck to the fella.........

Andy Frampton

Frampton was a good honest pro and far from crap or average.Good luck to him at Gillingham.

Andy Frampton

Still got my Frampton shirt that was kindlly wripped off his shoulders on his last day

Andy Frampton

For me Frampton was magic, especially when he scored at Notts Forest.
