Yes, he is. I'm sure trying his best, but it's not working is it? You ignore all my valid reasons for why he he is failing us, and just get on this blind faith band wagon.

Are you his agent?

Suit maker?

Or just never go?

Whatever reason, we are not bottom of the league, playing badly, with no postitive direction for no reason. So what do you put that down to?

Lack of budget?

The dug outs, onions?

Like I said before, I have no idea, but I know a man on 120k a year who doesn't either.

Just an avid fan who sees it in a different light to some on here. We may be bottom, but I believe, not for long.

Andy Scott

 what a bizarre comment, considering that neither of these results seem to have done what you say

I meant in the long run.

We're currently in the usual phase of 'game just finished, lets have a moan at the manager'.

Still another seven months to go. :sorted:

Andy Scott

BrandsHillBee, you're either on a massive wind up or know nothing about football.

While you're entitled to your opinion the league table doesn't lie, we're bottom cos we have been putting in bottom of the table performances and getting bottom of the table results. However, we don't have bottom of the table players = poor man management, tactics, style of play.

Andy Scott

We also dont seem to play or keep the players he signs.............judgement issues. One of the issues is blindingly simple. We are too soft. Far few guys who tackle and give us some substance. Has Tourami ever tackled anyone? We get rolled over easily by thugs and that is what teams like walsall, hartlepool, oldham, orient all are......

Don't think I apply to either of your assumptions.

As for my opinion i'm only trying to say he should stay as, in my eyes, he is the way forward. With a few downs on the way, in the midst of all the ups.

Andy Scott

The Everton and Wedesday results were nothing to do with Scott the players lifted themselves for those.
Scott didnt need to motivate them its for Rochdale Walsall ect he needs to get his act together.

Until now, I'd say motivation has not been the problem - it's tactics allied to team selection. Now we're dragging our proverbial arses on the bottom of the table after another home hammering, confidence will have taken a major kicking and this is where AS and TB will have their motivational skills tested to the full.

Andy Scott

i stated previously on this board and i stand by it; well done scott for reorganising the fiasco left by butcher. well done scott for getting us out of the basement. i hold no ill feelings towards the man, i've sung his name many times. i believe he can do for another club what he did for us. but having said all that, may i politely and with great respect say:
your era is over. the sooner you go, the better it will be for you and BRENTFORD F.C.

We're only 8 points away from the play-offs (regardless if posters on here want us to make them or not). So we can easily get out of the relegation zone.

Its a marathon not a sprint as the saying goes so i'm happy to see where this season takes us (it wont be relegation).

He's been given a massive budget, HE signed 13 players and hasn't used many of them and instead bought in 3 LOAN players.
The team ( HIS PLAYERS AND HIS TACTICS) are playing crap football and we're rock bottom of the league............so what's your argument to keep him based on ?

Exactly right. When he got us promotion it was with half a team of loan players, these are players that can be sent back if they don't work out or get injured & replaced with others. Now that he's got to build his own team he can't handle it.

Spot on Gosport. If you count the number of players he has signed and then discarded if clearly shows to anyone that his decision making is crap. Just paying off players, e'g Bennett and Taylor is an unnecessary expense the club can do without.

Andy Scott

Time to reopen a poll. (edit: just seen a new poll opened)

My vote will move from 'needs more time' to 'move aside and let Coppell have another go'.

I thank Andy for the promotion and keeping us up BUT the football is dire and he's built a team that doesn't play well. Midfield is too defensive and Bean, KOC and Dave are pass back or sideways - we need a bit of attacking flair in midfield. Three short strikers and high balls into the box - pointless. A good keeper in Lee who had a one game stinker against Fulham and Scott panics and gets a loanee in. Hamer's good but so is Lee.

He has enough about him to keep us up. I am not happy with every season starting poorly whilst the 10+ players he's signed up try to gel. We should have moved forward from a good finish last season.

Time for Mr Scott to do the decent thing.

Andy Scott

Coppell has RETIRED and from what I've heard his heart wasn't in the Bristol City job.

Andy Scott

Looking at alexanders face as he walked to the dugouts before KO summed it all up.
He looked as miserable as sin and almost contemptous to us clapping him in the bill axby.
Something is very very wrong behind the scenes and it looks like the team can get to play how they want in the 1st half and can get away with ignoring the crap that scott spouts from the sidelines.
Once he gets into them in at halftime he manages to completely deflate the team and they comeout 2nd half looking like robots again.

In 39yrs of watching i have never found myself in a position where i almost want us to lose just to get this bloke out of the chair.

As far as who takes over,i really don't care as long as their tactics are pleasing on the eye because the stuff i have to suffer now is as ugly as it gets.

Glad i'm not one of the many who voted to give him more time and can't change their vote on this very outdated poll.

Almost agree 100%

Andy Scott

24% want AS out - 24% of the season gone & todays 10/10/10........Spooky.

Andy Scott

I presume you're on a wind up Paul because I seem to remember you waxing lyrical about what had been an outstanding first half performance at half time. :)

:imwith:

Paul was smiling like a little kid so I'm not sure he words have come out right here :)

Andy Scott

I thought Ron Manager had retired, anyway his tactical awareness is no better than AS. How would we get away with jumpers for goalposts, mind you the current team does play like small boys.

lol

Andy Scott

I'm sorry Mrs Scott for all the bad feedback on here about your husband, but you don't have to watch this rubbish every week.

That's ok dear, my husband's just upstairs formulating a plan to get us up the league. Bear with us, we're doing all we can and rest assured, both myself and Andy will be in attendance every week.

Andy Scott

From what I've heard which are all rumours I admit, the last person that would be defending the man is Mrs Scott ;)

Andy Scott

It didn't under MA did it ? Don't get me wrong, I want to see attractive football but more than anything I'd like to see us climbing the table and fast.

OK - look at the top teams. ManUre, Chelski, the Arse, Spurs (?) - they got to be the top teams...........by playing good football.

And if you want to say they have the money to back 'em up - Blackpool ain't doing so bad with a much smaller budget but playing Ian Holloway style.

Andy Scott

:sorted: Good post and accurate assessment of what is going on.

The game V Hartlepool was typical of this.We were hitting high long balls to Charlie and Alexander who were easily beaten by the much taller Hartlepool back four. When the ball was hoofed out to our wide men, Hartlepool moved 3 of their 5 midfield across to counter this threat and in the rare occasions we tried to play through the middle their midfield 5 easily out numbered our central 2.
Lots of posters have written in similar vein.

If lots of our coaching unqualified supporters can see this why can't Scott ?

Not only Bees coaching unqualified supporters seeing this , but according to Jim Levack in post #80 on the Bees v Oldham reports and reactions thread, even the opposition managers are SAYING this now.

Thank you for all you have done Andy,. but memories won't keep us in League One. A change of management might.

Andy Scott

He's still blaming the players..........

Andy Scott

He's still blaming the players..........

I watched his press conference yesterday and actually felt sorry for him. He's gone in his own head, all that stuff about the systems works etc seemed a statement that he didn't really believe in.
Then I think that this is our hobby/mental crusade or whatever it is, the one that costs us so much time and money so there is little room for feeling sorry for someone.

Andy Scott

Torn on this one big time. I am a Scott fan but I started to lose respect for him when he ripped Phillips to shreds in the press. I have to say that his press conferences are getting tiresome beyond belief. You cannot keep blaming the players and expect them to work for you. He keeps mentioning people doing their own thing, to me that says they can't be given adequate tactical training in the week. AS has to take responsibility now as it keeps happening it's not a one off. Man up, admit your tactics are wrong and change them...either that or sadly move aside before we are really in the sh*t :(

Saw Scotts face as he walked across the pitch after the game, very much the same as Saunders as he walked back to his car at 2 15 before the game.I know which one l have sympathy for.How anyone can question him not staying is beyond me,l also wonder how many games they have actually seen this season.

Reading your posts I can only come up with 3 questions;
1. You don't attend matches
2. You're a wind up merchant
3. You're a fool

:nono: come on Shouldbee. I firmly agree he should go, but Brandshill is allowed to have a different opinion without the name calling :sorted:

I think you'll find those aren't questions but assumptions.

But in response:

1) I do
2) I'm not (but I could be if I want to continue our chat)
3) I'm not
