Apologies Due!

I wonder whether those who find it easy to criticise, abuse and complain are man enough to recant when appropriate? The abuse that players receive from GPG's on occasion goes beyond acceptable. I wonder how you would feel if your day job were subject to scrutiny by an anonymous entity. Not much I suspect! The negative energy you exercise could be harnessed and used to be supportive in bad times as well as good and we would all be a better place for it. So you Kev & Moushino knockers give it back when due and don't spinelessly dish it out, take it back. Your call!

Apologies Due!

I agree that some of the abuse on the GPG is strongly worded. But it's a game of emotions and passions and without those there wouldn't be a living for footballers of the ability we see.

Wasn't aware there were any Kev and Mousihno knockers.
Why shouldnt there jobs be under scrutiny? Remind yourself, where does the money come to pay there wages?
I take it you were referring to Brooker in your post.
IMO he has asked for every insult he has received on the gpg. We all know what he is capable of but wont produce the goods. In any other job, he would be collecting his P45 ages ago.
There is something wrong when you cant sack an employee he isn't working for you.. I dont hear of any other player for Brentford getting any abuse.
I suggest if you feel that strongly, you pay his salary.
Unless I missed something I have NOT heard or read of anyone who knocked KOC or JM.

Oh ffs lol

Apologies Due!

You can't change history. I don't think any footballer could expect a good reaction for a season like last. Perhaps the wee lambs can look at the feedback this season and do their upmost to make sure that's what they get all the time. Doesn't matter what walk of life you're in - if you do a bad job you get critisised.

I better take back all I've said and feel about Mr Brooker then

If I had performed badly, abused customers and told my bosses to f*** off then I would expect to be sacked. I earn in one month what Brooker makes in a week, what do you expect from us? Footballers have it easy

As fans who pay money to watch the club play (or pay for bees world etc) we have every right to be unhappy and criticise our players. Kev and Mouse played well yesterday (John has played well all season so far) but say they were to have a bad game next time, you cant tell us off for simply stating our views.

If I couldn't handle it, then I should choose a different career. Criticism is just as much part of what professional footballers can expect as is inflated wages and short hours.

My name is Chris Wickham.

If anyone has a problem with what I write they can get my phone number very easily from anyone at the club.

I'm not anonymous and I'll criticise anyone I fecking like if they deserve it

This is a board to discuss Brentford - if players don't like it they should not read it.

At no time this season have I shouted out anything negative at games; probably the worst would be a 'who was that to?' and I probably clap and cheer when it isn't warranted sometimes

You might have a point if there is continual unfair criticism at a match or is a malicious untruth; but otherwise I couldn't agree with you less.

Apologies Due!

"supportive in the good times" rofl rofl

When you find out when the good times were let me know.

What a loser you are!!

No, I'm Chris Wickham and so is my wife.

I've just looked up ''siesta's'' only other post on the GPG which is even more comical than this one.

The hysterical and over the top reaction to Oli's departure is unwarranted. Over reaction is a familiar theme from many BFC commentators, sadly when that is coupled with plain rudeness it becomes utterly negative. If all that energy could be used positively to encourage, support and help BFC it would be far more constructive.

Actually, the username would seem to suggest that he/she is normally asleep between 3-5pm :fishing:

Apologies Due!

is siesta a BFC groupie then?

Apologies Due!

I think Siesta has finally clocked on to the fact that influences involved with the running of BFC use message boards to spread constant negativety around our top earners. It's not very professional but if it helps get them off the books........:fishing: :fishing: :fishing: :fishing:

Garbage. Name the posters concerned or are you "all mouth and no trousers."

That's not how the board works!

Someone uses their inside knowledge to make indirect and subtle comments that stir everyone up and then sit back and watch the fireworks :D

Apologies Due!

Name the posters who are doing that.

Apologies Due!

We can rule out beeehive for one Les. His/her wind ups are entirely devoid of any knowledge, inside or not

Apologies Due!

Kev would be the first to admit he had a poor season last season by his standards. Simple as.

Apologies Due!

Are fans not then allowed to pass comment on players ? The support that the team gets is generally better than they deserve - because we are fans.
Given that it costs me a fair amount to watch the Bees when travel etc is taken into account, plus contributions to Fighting Chance, BU membership, sponsorship, bucket donations - all going to pay the wages of players who earn substantially more than I do - I feel I have every right to criticise where it's justified.
Generally KOC and John have received supportive messages. The main exception to this is Brooker and whilst some comments are rather OTT he is earning a fortune for doing remarkably little. If showed similar lack of commitment in my much more lowly paid job I would expect the sack.
Remind me not to stand and applaud the team off the pitch next time after a rather fortunate win if comment is not permitted.
Or is my role in life just to put another quid in the bucket as I exit?

It's interesting to see how supporters react to different situations and how in the negative attacking posts quite a few use the word customer but when everything is going well we're all supporters. It seems in recent years there is more pressure to be successful and CUSTOMERS EXPECT to watch their team play exciting attacking football with commitment and have a winning team. A move more to the customer\business then supporter side of the game, probably due to the prices it costs to watch football. Let's be honest, if you don't support Brentford you won't be coming to watch a game for the price it costs. Supporters feel cheated a lot more easily now and to be honest it's very obvious to see in the Brooker thread. Football is all about passion and personally I like to see players shouting at each other and I don't mind seeing a player giving some back to the crowd or getting upset with the manager, to me it shows they do play with passion. One of my favourite moments at Brentford was when Talbot jumped into the crowd to have ago back, loved it. It's all part of the entertainment!

Personally I'm happy just going to the games, supporting the team and having something to talk about from the games and the club. Win or lose I still enjoy going to the games and supporting the lads. Nothing wrong with people being upset about the games and players and talking about it but reading constant threads branding players as ****s etc is just stupid. People being made into villans for having a career is silly and anyone who truely believes these guys aren't trying is on another planet.

If you feel like you're getting cheated and ripped off if we lose isn't that a little bit like being a glory hunter? Christ we don't even give some of our younger players a couple of years experience in the game before a lot write them off on here. The whole attitude of a fair few of our suppoters stinks at the moment, it's pretty much victim mentalitly. Most people have been waiting with baited breathe for some of our own squad to slip up for f**k sake.

Anyone who moans about paying the players wages and the amount of money they've put in etc probably needs to take a step back and truely value just what they get for that money.

Apologies Due!

It's all very well trying to take a positive slant, but if people aren't allowed to slag off the players we had in the worst season in the club's history (the only time it has ever finished last - and Rotherham gave us a ten point start), then when exactly would criticism be acceptable?

I'm afraid that it's a tough old world and players need to be able to take the rough with the smooth.

I'm in love with Karleigh Osborne

The difference I have only 2 maybe 3 people that look at what i do for my job. Not 4/5000.

Its part of being a footballer? If they can't handle the heat, become a dustman for all i care.

I'd give my left nut (not the right one) to have the ability and the lifestyle of being a footballer, even in Brentfords division, you get PAID FOR DOING NOTHING. Lets be honest. So whoever it is moaning, give them a slap and tell them to get into the real world.

One of your more banal comments which is up against some pretty stiff competition. Do you think we got VFM for, say Oli Skulasson? That worked out to about £10k a game from memory. Some value.

Most Brentford fans want their players to give 100%. If they do that we can ask no more, regardless of what they earn. Footballers perform in the public arena, so if they cannot handle it, don't let the door hit their arse on the way out.

Apologies Due!

Must have taken you ages to come out with such a well thought out, reasoned response.

Nothing more than what the original post deserved though...

About two seconds.

Been watching football over twenty years and players have always got
stick if not performing well, but also praise when they start to play well.

But if you have had wasters like we have had in the last year who take
a nice fat wage and don't contribute they deserve every thing they get.

I agree.

Anybody who criticises a BEES player on the GPG is not a real fan. The player must be in bits when reads the abusive filth posted sometimes.

If we all said they were good players, the confidence would go through the roof.

I would like to apologise for ending Brooker's career at BFC, he was looking good and then I did him with a constant flow of truth about his sh*tness. Slowly others joined in and I finally made him crack and watched him two finger his own fans.
Paul you have a nice barnet and look good with a beard and the next time I see you before a game walking around like your sh*t doesn't stink I will engage you in conversation. :sorted:

This is exactly the sort of abusive caustic bile, which is destroying our club.

You really think destroying a players career is funny don`t you?:mad1:

you stick to your tin mines and cornish pasties and just leave the player slagging to those who are free to indulge in such activities

Apologies Due!

Gods show mercy on us.
May the elements of fire and wind spare shield us from his evil. Odds, drums and pipes rescue us from the vicious and violent deeds of Paul Brooker.
Oh Lord spare me the torture, I am not an evil man.
Paul Brooker doth come to my Park, the gladiator, the light inferno, the merciless incarnation of hate. The bile-spewing monster, the human flesh-eating alligator who threatens to devour us all.

Brooker forgive me for I have sinned. Ruin not our promotion prospects next season. Spare us oh great one, spare us....

AND **** OFF !
