Its easy. Just approach 1,500 people and ask each of them if they happen to be either of the aforementioned gentlemen. Of course 1,498 other Bees supporters will be doing the same thing at the same time so before long it will be like a giant version of one of those break the ice introductory sessions at training courses. Either that or they will be wearing red and white striped shirts to distinguish themselves.

It doesnt say anything about not getting one tomorrow, it merely says it is upto the fans at the game to get the forms.

I take your point about tomorrows game but surely the fact that 2 different games are needed means that fans who go to the 'bigger' away games but not the 'lesser' ones won't be rewarded in the way those who travel away a lot will be.

Last season there was a lot of anger (rightly so IMO) when regular away supporters couldn't get a ticket when fans who don't normally do aways could.

I think in this case the club is doing the right thing in trying to impliment a fairer system.

I agree and I hadn't read the official site prior to posting but I still don't understand why they have waited until the 3rd away game it has been available to publicise it.

They have been available at Cheltenham and Barnsley and I'm sure John Anderson did his best to reach as many people as possible. If they were available at every game, everyone would have one, defeating the object.

TBH I would not have publicised them until the thing had finished. The guys handing them out have been explaining them and TBH they are self explanatory anyway. It's just one way of trying to diferentiate between those who go away regularly and those who don't.

And is a good idea IMHO.

Whole thing is a nonsense, i`ve made a lot of constructive suggestions to various people - even done the research for them - but anything remotely sensible gets knocked back and I was told the supposedly all-singing all-dancing new ticket machine at GP was the solution and that that would benefit BFC as the club apparently receives 5% of advanced ticket sales from away games. That made sense although I stated at the time that I didnt have any confidence that it would actually happen and preferred that the club simply ask everyone to routinely keep ticket stubs from away games.

They now seem to have adopted a chaotic option and can get on with it. Roll on the next ticket fiasco

I was at the meeting when this was decided (although I wouldn't have endorsed giving them out at Forest either!) and I thought Feltham John said that this was your suggestion PJ!! lol

The problem with using the ticket sales for recording ticket sales is that not all clubs are willing to give out tickets in advance therefore you can only record sales for some games. This is also the problem with keeping ticket stubs as not all clubs give out tickets - as your own research showed. People can still gain 'away points' by purchasing their tickets through the Club - these people then do not have to collect a voucher. The current scheme was designed (apparently by you and John lol) so that there was always something being given out at away games for those people who hadn't bought through the Club.

At least that was what was agreed at the meeting :shrug:

Well, what initially seemed a good idea looks like it is being let down by hopeless implementation - not that we should be surprised, it's Brentford innit?

If these vouchers are to be handed out at every away game and the only categories of collectors that are to be created are (1) those with two or more and (2) those with fewer than two, then we haven't really got very far, have we?

Why reward people for attending our most attractive away fixture of the season? It's those who went to Cheltenham and Port Vale and go to whatever away sh*t-hole in the LDV who deserve to be at the head of the queue when the most over-subscribed games go on sale - not the away glory hunters who only show up when it's Forest, or Wednesday or suchlike. No offence to these guys, but they aren't the deserving cases.

I'm sure BIAS didn't agree to this scheme as expounded on the official site. Another ticketing fiasco from BFC ... plus ça change, plus c'est le même chose!

Roll on Bournemouth away, I can't wait for the fun and games that will produce if we need to win. IHMO everyone who went to Vale, should have been giving a priority voucher to be used for any game they choose throughout the course of the season as they walked through the turnstile.

We should all be fitted with a GPS-enabled tag. This would be fitted around the ankle on match days and would transmit your position every 5 minutes to a Satellite with a massive database on it. This would track for every supporter that number of miles that travel supporting the bees each year. The beauty about this system is that people that travel from far away for Home Games would be credited too - after all with the Northern bias of clubs in our division this year someone in Manchester shouldn't be credited with going to more away games than anyone else, yet doesn't attend home games.

The club's website would be updated in "real time" on Match Days with the number of miles travelled by individual supporters so that a "Best Supporter" and "Worst Supporter" league tables can be maintained.

Additional Benefits
1. It would also weed out those Chelsea supporters that have bought children's Season Tickets but don't attend games "just in case" we draw Chelsea in the cup.
2. The GPS system works to the nearest metre so stewards would be informed if season tickets holders are in the wrong seat at Griffin Park.
3. I don't believe that databases in orbit are subject to the Data Protection Act.

what you mean you dont check the os every hour on the night before a game or instinctively try and find a supporter who you have no idea what they look like instead of queing up for food at half time?

your obviously not a real fan and therefore dont deserve priority for all-ticket games in the future
