Looked like a couple shipping containers stuck one on top othe other when I passed it on Saturday . (Apologies, if I have insulted the archtiect who designed our new superstore).

Can't wait, should make a Xmas killing. I heard in the past the old shop was a really bad deal for the club, assume rent high and we were not the landlord?

I assume they weren't able to get or afford a site by/at the actual stadium, which would have been ideal.

Though I do think even a site south of the stadium, fronting onto Chiswick High Road/Kew Bridge, would have attracted much more attention/footfall too, especially on matchdays.

Oh well, needs must I suppose and it's gotta be an improvement on the last cramped little shop.

What I meant was that with the majority of fans approaching the BCS from the south, then they've still got to go right on past it to arrive at the store. Which won't deter keen fans of course, but more casual fans or first timers etc, mightn't bother, in fact, mightn't even know it's there.

I mean, will it even be visible from the BCS? (Unsure)

I hope I'm wrong, but many people are lazy/clueless, which is why a prominent location with high footfall is so important for retail.

Think it's better fronting GWR. Perfect for a quick stop in the car...parking would be horrendous on the other side.

Hopefully having it there will allow people to park on non matchdays and walk over to the Ticket Office if the need to...or even better the TO can use the shop as a collection point.

How do you know that?

Even if it was true it's like saying the MUFC Superstore is in the wrong place because the majority of fans approach from different direction.

That's moaning and there's a hyperbole moan. This is over the hyperbole moan.

You were told that there wouldn't be a store at all, now there's one within 2 mins walk and you're f***ing complaining, no wonder the club can't win.

This looks excellent. Perfect location, too. I hope it’s very successful.

I‘ll reserve judgement until it’s actually open, though. Hopefully anyone involved in the previous club shop’s management has been told to go on to a new, exciting challenge elsewhere and a professional team has brought in to run the new venture.

Ealing this is 25 yards from the stepped entrance to the North Stand!

Have the club had their eye on this site for some time? Looks perfect and wondered if it’s fallen in to their lap or if it was known it would eventually become the new superstore when the stadium design was being finalised.

To be fair to the old/current shop they were very helpful when I snuck in at 4.59 on Saturday and pleasantly showed me what I was looking for when they could have just said they were closing up.

The building was designed without using an architect and is an insult to your eyes, but the location is very very good. Hopefully the fitting company are tasked with Imroving the outside shell of the building, landlord permitting.
It's about 1 min from the west stand and north stand.

Not moaning but it states it more than twice the size of the current shop, not three or four times, given that the current shop is pretty small I'm not expecting this to be a massive upgrade, chuck in an extra three to four thousand more fans on match day compared to Griffin Park and lots of new fans wanting to get a bit of brentford gear and reckon its going to be rammed in there on match day, I must say that the little shop bit in North stand family end is pretty well stocked for such a small unit, mainly kids stuff though but no queueing.

BFC are sacrificing size for location. Also to my knowledge BFC has never made a £1 in profit from merchandise, so a large capital investment on a large unit lease is maybe not possible.

Why do you think the majority of fans approach from the south, especially given your user name?

I assume the West stand has the biggest capacity, and the north stand, all makes this close to half the crowd at least.

It also has parking on non match days not the case on Kew bridge

And when they work out just in time deliveries they can do away with the distribution centre and turn it into a bar for the North stand ????
