I hope they put a 'Casual' store next door which stocks Ellesse, Fila, Ralph (For Bill Benn), Lyle & Scott etc. Also they need to throw in a special section for GP200, Ketteringbee and Sonofabee. Those of us non-shirt wearing types are always excluded, I blame the club, I thought we were meant to be inclusive these days!

Really I hope shop does well and adds to our funds for our next stadium move to be built on the site of Hounslow bus garage
That'll be handy for me.
I could walk there.

Have you tried rebooting your computer five or six times, checking under the ‘Definitely Not In Basket’ box (it might be there), or looked under a different category in case the shop just put it somewhere else ‘because’ (so, as it’s a key ring, maybe look under Children’s Clothing, for example).

Bought my first replica Bees shirt (OSCA) in Arnold's sports shop in Brentford High St. in about 1981............
Bought my 92/93 home shirt from Len Smiths, in Twickenham ?

got it the day before the official release, cos I knew a bloke that worked there. Don’t tell anyone…?

Was in Watford shopping centre recently. Watford have a store there. Passed the entrance 2 or 3 times and not a sole in the store. I agree that the only logical place is near the stadium. The store we are opening is no more than a couple of hundred yards max from the North and West stands. Perfect for match days as Lionel Road is closed and safe for families to access. Plus on non match days there is parking which on Kew side there is none. At Christmas it will be easy to drop in to buy mechanise. So let’s give some credit to the club for the location.

That is going to be a one busy store on a match day when it opens .. get there early!
..........you will be able to purchase your half and half scarf from outside the stadium.............

Not moaning but it states it more than twice the size of the current shop, not three or four times, given that the current shop is pretty small I'm not expecting this to be a massive upgrade, chuck in an extra three to four thousand more fans on match day compared to Griffin Park and lots of new fans wanting to get a bit of brentford gear and reckon its going to be rammed in there on match day, I must say that the little shop bit in North stand family end is pretty well stocked for such a small unit, mainly kids stuff though but no queueing.

Crowds have gone up by 50-60% from GP, and the store has expanded its floor space and tills by over 100%. Plus, as you say, there is a mini shop outside the ground. I think it should be big enough.

Also, no one walks to Lionel Road from that direction anyway so it will probably dead on match days :fishing:

Is the new store in addition to the mini shop/Kiosk outside the ground?.

Yet to see a Merch kiosk on my route to ground, or a Chicken Balti Pie in S102.

BFC are sacrificing size for location. Also to my knowledge BFC has never made a £1 in profit from merchandise, so a large capital investment on a large unit lease is maybe not possible.
How can they charge £50 for a shirt that costs under a tenner to make and not make a profit? Only asking.

As for places like Hounslow, in all seriousness having a dedicated retail unit would probably be a bit overkill. Some clever advertising might be good though?

Maybe we should advertise at the Bus Stops. Not sure what we would say though.

Shut up you have samosas! North Stand can just about smell them.......
S102 is for the paupers. The Sammy’s are only available in the dugout bar. S102 offering is poor.

Can we have a store in Lakeside for all the Essex bees?

I honestly can’t imagine stand alone Bees shops away from the ground would be profit-making, though I’d love to be proved wrong.

I can remember Brentford shirts being sold in a sports chain store in Ealing Broadway @BFC1997 years ago. It was quite a chore going in every time I passed and having to put Bees shirts in front of every other club’s throughout the shop. I didn’t even get paid for my ’rack dressing’ ?
Me and my son used to do the opposite if we ever saw Fulham shirts in a sports shop. Our rack dressing saw any such Fulham shirts moved to the back of the rack, or occasionally just knocked on the floor.

I've been asked several times. "Will there be parking available outside the new club shop on non match days?"

Me and junior did the same with their calendars in Wilkinsons in Hounslow, a few years back ?‍♂️
