You don't necessarily need a team capable of playing at the next level to get promoted; just one that's better than most of the teams in your current division. I reckon we could still do that and (admittedly by some miracle now!) if we did could strengthen for the next season. Would still take one more season in div 2 over 90 mins at Wembley.

You are the eternal optimist and I'd admire you for that . I'll take a day at Wembley, a few beers and a new start next year with a decent manager .

Creative midfielders cannot be part of AS's plan. Hoofball doen't need one. Wanging it up to the flanks to a latter day Marcus Gayle to knock it down to the modern day Holdsworth and Blissett just isn't working because our front two are NOT of the same quality!
