Furys a great showman

But Usyk is a complete boxer. Agility and acumen paid off compared to size and physicality

Bigger and braver ref would be preferable to stop clinching

I agree. A quality, quality boxer. A good big un should always beat a good small un. Usyk is the best boxer at this weight for decades.

If Fury actually slimmed down he could have a shot. Taking life too easy it seems. Just taking the cash and not preparing for the fight.

Boxing

Wow. Fury was so obviously outboxed that the 3 refs all had exactly the same score. Joke.

Boxing

Credit to Usyk, almost 38 and still doing what he does.

Although Fury is a monster carrying that weight around for 12 rounds and performing like that.

Boxing

I reckon if no one wins in 12 rounds they should bring Dana White out and do one of those slap contests.- Like a kind of penalty shoot out.

Boxing

Right man won. Uysk of a true legend and won the fight by 3 rounds on my scorecard. Fury fought a better fight but Usyk is too good

Boxing

Thought it was a pretty obvious Usyk win, Giry was able to use his size at times but rarely took the upperhand with it, instead he just kept slowing the fight down without landing that much on Usyk.

Boxing

Maybe 116-112 is a bit flattering but Usyk won the fight imo.
Thats only a two round swing so about right for me. Usyk the clear winner. But lets be honest, most people watch heavyweight boxing because the want to see knockdowns. If technical boxing is your thing the lower weight classes are way more entertaining.

Boxing

After all the pre fight abuse Fury gave Usyk, he’s made himself look a bit silly .. hardly layed a decent punch all night .. can Fury be taken seriously anymore?

And as for Dubois climbing into the ring and snatching the mic off Usyk and offering him out! … and then he had to sneak off when he realised no one was interested in what he had to say! ?

Boxing

Didn't Fury use that as the excuse why he lost their fight.
Probably. He is a knob!
I have to say on reflection, and after a re-run of the fight sans alcohol, I do now think Usyk edged the fight, but not by 4 rounds.

Boxing

Time to look for a new potential world champ. Have to say that Moses Ituama looks superb so far. Very good boxing IQ for a teenager. Heavy handed southpaw. Worth following if you're interested in British talent.
As mad as it sounds, he looks tiny compared to most heavyweights. Cannot wait to see him up against strong opposition, I agree with you, looks really promising.

Boxing

I think it’s over for Fury. I don’t personally want to see him v AJ for the best of the beaten, I think Usyk v Dubois 2 would be more interesting, but I still don’t believe Dubois would have any answers.

Moses Ituma looks frightening, he has a lot more growing to do too, the most exciting heavyweight prospect in England, will he be the youngest ever heavyweight world champion?

Boxing

There is such an unconscious bias when it comes to British fighters that when they are outclassed, it's hard to digest. Sizeable margin on the stats
Yeah. I couldnt believe Fury thought he'd won and at least explained why he didn't go for it at the end.
Personally I thought it was pretty obvious Usyk was well ahead towards the final few rounds and Fury would need a knockout to have a chance of winning.
Usyk is a much better boxer and a deserved winner. He's heading towards all time greatness and only a suprise loss to Dubois or someone in the future is going to prevent him going down as one of the very best ever. He may well already be the best pound for pound fighter in history.

I think he will beat Dubois and have maybe 3 or fights over the next two years and retire undefeated.
Pound for pound he is the best, but i believe Lennox Lewis would give him a very good 12 rounds and he would be cspable of beating Usyk.
I am not sure who he could fight at the moment, but a bout with Joseph Parker would be the one to get bums on seats and that would be a good match.
Dubois should fight him,but they would not want DD beat just yet.

You're amazed 3 experienced, professional boxing judges came to the same conclusion?

He’s 20 at the weekend, so I doubt he will be unless he gets a shift on. Mike Tyson was 20yrs and 4mths when he won his first title(s)….

Boxing

Fury’s retired again…
Until he is presented with a massive payday against AJ.....to be honest if that fight can't be made I don't see anyone worth him fighting at the moment. Aside from Usyk the division is made up of journeymen and up and coming prospects who are too untested to fight Fury.

Briton Josh Padley steps in to fight Shakur Stevenson after Schofield withdrew from the fight
To be honest nobody is beating Shakur at this weight anyway so he'll win with ease - hopefully slightly more aggressive than he has been in his last couple of fights which have been snoozefests
