Scheduling of Brighton away has been a bit of mess the last few years: twice it's been in the week after Christmas; once it's been a December midweek.

Even when it was Saturday 3pm (April 2023) there was a planned train strike, only called off a few days before.

I think this will go quite quickly.

....I always look forward to going to the new ground.. Brighton away always good.. but seems like a long time ago sitting in that makeshift stand one Friday night..if I remember correctly....then standing in an open terrace... good times though.

Yes, I read all the excuses. However, last year on the 27th I managed to:

Travel up to Kempton for the racing
Lose my ticket for the match at some point
Travel back down to Brighton having not had a winner
Go to the pub in Brighton
Buy another ticket for the game off a Bee who decided to stay in the pub
Go to the match
Attempt an 8 mile walk home afterwards
Give up half way through and get on a bus
The wrong bus as it turned out - it took me the opposite way and I ended up back in Brighton City centre
Have a nightcap in Spoons waiting for another bus
Get the other bus which didn't even take me all the way home
Walk the final 20 mins
Then go to work the next day

While the TAP mafia stayed at home and watched it on the box ;):hat:

Three out of the four games in the Premier league have been evening games and two of those at Christmas. The other was a Saturday with a train strike.

It seems like the club have just looked at the data of previous season's sales and thought this won't sell out quickly, which seems misguided to me.

BIAS lobbied the club to make Brighton away a category A game in the second season, which they did, because of the first season's demand was pushed down by it being boxing day. Now there's four years of data.

The interest from season ticket holders for a normal away game is just not there to make this an issue. Look at games like Palace and West ham (albeit on a Monday) - these have taken days/weeks to sell out to members.

It's the standard approach for a category B fixture. people will always find something to complain about!

The only small fault I can find is giving one day of notice - in an international break too when people may be disengaged - for a game in nearly six weeks time. People will undoubtedly catch up and buy their tickets over the next week.

The point was, as I'm sure you know, that getting around on public transport that day was a piece of piss.

It was really meant to be a light hearted post with a bit of fun about the nightmare I had that day, but that TAP mafia comment has obviously triggered you. I wonder why? 🤡

PS. I travelled up to Brentford from Brighton for the home game against Wolves on the exact same date the year before with absolutely no issue as well if that makes you feel any better.

Can these be transferred to others in the same way as season tickets?

2022-23 season away was indeed 15h on 1 Apr (3-3. I had to miss it due to mate’s 50th); 2023-24 away was 19h30 on 6 Dec and I missed that one too because of train disruption (don’t remember if strike) and London Bridge was mayhem. We lost 2-1 and Bryan got injured.

When buying multiple tickets - Do the digital tickets get emailed to the person who purchased them or are they sent out to each individual assigned to the ticket separately?

For Newcastle away last season, both times, the tickets were all emailed to the lead booker to distribute.

Couldn't say about this one, I assume none of us has experience with digital tickets at Brighton away yet?

I think so. Last season we were in S1E, none of that block nor anything west of the centre of the goal has been released yet.

Unless they've shuffled the away fans around since last season, those seats are to be released.

Because the home club insists on this arrangement

If we dont sell out the 3,000 then Brighton will sell an extra block to home fans behind the goal to the right of the goal(looking from the pitch)

Brighton are selling S1G and S1H to home fans at the moment

So today noone is able to buy S1E or S1F for the moment

We should just ignore what they say as there is no way we aren selling into that block as it’s a Saturday 3pm ko.

Any idea why row y (Block S1B) is “strictly no standing”? It works great for me cos of my young lad but not sure why this small area is singled out.

Either it doesn't have the safe standing bars or it would impede the view of one of the corner blocks. Or both!

Tickets shifting quite quickly for this one. Good when we have a 3pm kickoff at a non-sh*thole.
