Up to a point, I tend to think that if you dont go then you're opinion on the performance is of limited use.
nevertheless, I think we only had to look at the team that was selected for today to see that we were going to get beaten.
Martin Allen needs to take a long hard look at his tactics and team selections for away matches.
Agree with the observations on Hunts omission too. Sodje in midfield is a complete ****ing joke.

It may be being wise after the event, but if the starting line up was indeed as shown at the top of this thread, then although the backline looked good, the midfield of Somner, O'Connor, Hargreaves and Frtampton shows very little in the way of creativity. MA seems to have a very definite away policy, being to stop the opposition from playing, rather than put out a team that would let us play. Seems to be the football equivalent of baseline tennis.

At this level a manager should pick his best side for each game, injuries excepted. None of this premiership crap of adapting the team for the game. We are not Chelsea and don't have the luxury of international reserves. The same team each week so they can gel. Keep it simple. I think Allen has a lot to learn here.
