Was worried that the curse of Brentford had effected yet another striker however yesterday he was excellent and fully deserves his man of the match

BWP

Clear MOM yesterday our most likely source of goals at the moment. Sign him up for next season please.

BWP

Definitely trying to sell himself, hope we sign him!The script is written for Him to score the goal that take us to the Championship.COYR

BWP

I've said I don't understand how a side with Clayton and BWP in it can struggle to score goals at this level. Uwe needs to stick with these two, Clayton's fatigue notwithstanding.

Clayton's not had a proper strike partner that works all season .BWP wasnt fully fit until now and hopefully the pair will hit a purple patch in the next three games

BWP

Now he seems fully up to pace, hopefully he can contribute another 3/4 goals in the final run of three games.

BWP

Would you play BWP and Harry in the same side?
I'd like to see Dallas and BWP on the pitch at the same time.

Think Trotta will do that !! If e are in championship can see us signing up both BWP and Trotta. A four of those two Donaldson and Farid would be a reasonable strike force to call upon

Hope Uncle Marhew has very deep pockets cos can't see us being able to meet their combined wage demands!!

Maybe but I'd like to see us sign one more striker-maybe a prem player on loan. None of those 4 are proven in the chanpionship

BWP

Frustrating player who seems to coast through games appearing not to bother but if he scores enough to take us up, I'll forgive him.

If he really is on £5k pw it must be sickening for the others who actually want to be professional players.

Well on the way to forgiveness lol

BWP

Would sign him up right now, could really see him and clayton forging a good understanding

BWP

His last three goals - in two games - all had the same hallmark: being in the right place, instantly assessing the opportunity and placing the ball in the optimum spot. He does not just thrash the ball towards the goal, he scores. He's the first "natural" striker I've seen in a Brentford shirt for a long time. For whatever reason, he did not make it in the Championship with Charlton but he's out of contract at the end of the season and I'd have him signed up in an instant.

BWP

He's getting better every game. The way he scored the first goal against Pompey was class, he saw the space and planted it in the spot, many others would have missed it or smashed it over the bar. I would like to see him sign for us.

BWP

Lovely finish on Tuesday, there was this spot between their two donkey defenders where the keeper couldn't get to, he threaded it through the gap on show and it was a goal pretty much from the moment it left his foot, I had teh perfect view along with their keeper as we both watched it trickle in.

got to agree the look of anguish on the keepers face as the ball rolled towards me was a picture of joy me and my daughter were up and celebrating before the ball hit the net just inside the post

His pace to beat their central defender to the ball was good as well!!!

Yeah I'll give you that but I reckon my mum would have the pace to beat and stretch their CBs, I still say we lost a bit by not starting with BWP and Clayton as their movement would have killd them in that first half. Trotta did well and probably his best 60 odd minutes in a Bees shirt but trying to go through them with standing starts suits their inability to turn IMO, BWP and Clayton would have murdered them.

BWP

I've also been impressed with his attitude and the way he comes across in the post match interviews. He seems to have a real respect for Uwe and seems very mature with his assessment of a game. Really good centre forward and as someone else said the most natural finisher I've seen in our shirt for many years. I assume he will definitely get the nod on Saturday as Clayton is suspended and I would guess we will go 4-4-2 as we did at Crewe.

I agree, BWP should have started. Pace was the key to unlocking their defence and keeping them on the back foot. Even so a great night on Tuesday.

BWP

Glad Bradley has started to show some form with you guys, he's a good lad and will be pleased for him if he ends up signing a full contract with Brentford, particularly if you do manage promotion. Good luck, hope you get over the line without having to go the playoff route, but it looks like it could go down to the last game of the season, you might have to beat Doncaster by a couple of goals to secure it. Would love to see another London club in the Championship next year so keeping my fingers crossed for you.

BWP

ok haven't seen him play as I'm in Australia but have followed all the post match comments and beesworld and was as excited as anyone when he was signed up. What I would like to know (from someone who has attended games) is what he is giving the team? I am not being negative ...just asking a question as we don't often see it on the post match reports in any detail.

Great to see him get his first goal but am concerned as anyone that it seems our strikers need four or five attempts to knock them in. That's fine if the team are creating plenty of chances but I think we all agree that there will be times when it needs to be more clinical. Whether its BWP or Clayton I don't care and the encouraging signs of a partnership are nothing but positive........but sooner or later we'll have to score when it matters and I am nervous that we'll have the ball for 70% of the game and lose 1-0 on the run in.

I haven't seen the stats but I think BWP's conversion rate is likely to be much higher than Clayton's. Donaldson seems to be a bit of an Andy Cole in terms of the number of chances he needs to score but his utterly astounding work-rate (on Tuesday he spent a lot of time starting moves from inside our penalty area and yet had the fitness and pace to make up 10+ yards on their defenders, utterly terrifying them) and the fact that he makes so many chances for himself and others is reflected in his goal tally playing generally not in the traditional centre forward space. BWP is a player opponents know they need to keep a tight lid on, but unlike Donaldson who is "easy" to mark (although hard to mark successfully and consistently) because he's always driving on, BWP looks like he's not really involved or breaking a sweat so can be a puzzle. A really good complementary partner for CD. A bit of an Obi Wan Kenobi - "This is not the striker you should be marking, move along now, move along".

Trotta has similar qualities but isn't quite the finished article - he played well on Tuesday but was more easily dealt with by muscle as he hasn't quite BWP's guile.

BWP

Really rate him and from the off could tell he had goals in him. So glad he has come to form, Donaldson has scored a vital goal (albeit will miss next game) and Trotta has put two in recent weeks.
Fantastic finish at Sheff Utd, looked easy didn't it? So do all his goals. He really does know where the goal is and what he needs to do.

Hopefully this is all leading up to us scoring 2-3 goals away at Hartlepool which we badly need. Also co-incidence that they are now relegated, you can say they might play with freedom now blah blah blah you can always make a case for any rubbish team. I'd rather play a relegated side than one who will drag us into a scrap and be happy with a point.

If we get an early goal, perhaps BWP? I can see us running out 3-0 winners. We need it.

Since posting my query he's certainly seemed to have found the knack...happy for him to take the credit if he keeps it up..

BWP

If we go up, i'd like to keep him. Got a bit of class about him and think would be a good addition.

BWP

Another quality he has added to the team's all round play is his, generally, excellent touch, which has meant he can hold the ball well, and this takes pressure off the defence.
Also, his artful lay offs , flicks ons and neat passes help our general attacking play .
His pace, and ( recent) incisive finishing are very valuable icings on the cake!

According to the Daily Star #brentfordfc are in talks to sign BWP on a free in the Summer.
Hope there is some truth in this story.

I'm sure we're talking to him regardless of what league we play in. One thing that will hopefully help is the fact he definitely seems to like the Rosler style of management based on his post match interviews after Sheff Utd and Crewe. He seems to have complete faith in Uwe and has said a number of times that the manager knows exactly what he's doing and if we follow his instructions we will win the game. I hope Uwe will be a big factor in where BWP ends up next season.

BWP

Would be great signing if we can get him, Bradley is top class.

Agree with this, so composed when presented with a chance and really plays the percentages. Would love to sign him permanently as he would get goals whichever league we are in.

I think initially we were not playing to his strengths at all and it was obviously frustrating him, the team and Bradley seem to be adjusting to one another now and hopefully the goals will continue.

BWP

There is a Twitter comment that in the talks with BWP Ian is being obstructive. Presume that is Ian Wright.

 Right next to the 'Aliens Stole My Cow' story no doubt. :grey:

BWP

Uwe made a comment recently, just before the Sheffield United game when talking about our strikeforce, that Bradley is "finally fit", which would probably explain why he started as a sub in his earlier games. And would also explain the shouts of lazyness, mostly against MK Dons.

BWP

Just seen a newsbot headline saying us and Walsall are chasing him. Will try not to laugh if he chooses us over them.

BWP

I'd have him back, definitely, but in the hope he'd play better for us under a permanent contract than he did while on loan

BWP

If you are happy to carry him work rate wise his clinical finishing and composure is outstanding for this level..... But it is a big 'if'.

BWP

He'd be nuts, imagine the upheaval needed to move up there. He may want to go where he's a guaranteed first choice striker though.

BWP

If BWP came back, surely that has to be curtains for Hayes?
Donaldson, Grigg, BWP and Farid would stake a claim to be the most devastating strike force in the league - three of them have already proved their ability to score 20+ at this level...

Getting a bit excited...

BWP

Donaldson, Grigg, FAE and BWP. Blimey. That's sex wee stuff.....

BWP

Was underwhelmed with him before so if he does come I hope it's not on silly money

BWP

I'd be happy to see BWP join us on a perm basis, and that really would be a quality strike force for next season....oh yeah, and Paul Hayes (sorry!!)

BWP

I would have him in a heartbeat. The guy blows hot and cold and like defoe his goals come in bursts. With the other 3 we have plenty of options to share the burden during the lean spells.
