Indeed. Simply because of age I don't think he will be. And position.

Not too sure tbh he just doesnt strike me as that type of leader. A lot of people said Bidwell wasnt Cap material and i would say Nico is similar in stature and personality?

For me i shouldnt matter and we need 11 leaders out there.

Yennaris was a very well thought of young skipper of Arsenal reserve team. Watford contact at the time amazed we got him as much sought after but he's never quite reached the heights I thought he would when he signed.

Agree with that. He has improved, hugely, since his first season (or two). Was it a Sam Saunders interview in TITS that mentioned having to remind Nico that he doesn't play for Arsenal anymore? I think he's got over that now.

I know there are some who don't rate him, at all, but I am happy with what he does for my football club.

He seems to be an intelligent chap who gets on well with the rest of the squad. :shrug:

There should be an election. Players should declare their candidacy and launch a campaign, including half-time on-pitch interviews with Sir Peter and a full blown debate. I noticed a "google" type post in which John Egan "discusses vacant Brentford captaincy role" or some such (haven't read it yet). Does this suggest that he has begun his campaign?

Sounds like Egan did well in the hustings. I've no problem if it goes to him. He's a solid citizen and a 100%er in my view. Seems to be a leader, and maybe being a leader will be good for his development and form.

Good to hear. I never thought he was really in his shadow though.......... Just lost his form last season and now needs a run of games. Im gutted we cant have him and Dean in the same side as when on form they are class defenders IMO. (yes i know hes gone )
