Centre Forward Needed
Maybe we should become a feeder club for Spurs they always seem to produce very good players
Apart from Ledley King and Sol Campbell can't reallly think of many others.

The day we become a feeder club is the day Brentford FC dies...![]()

Why would brentford die if we were a feeder club
On football manerger you get paid to be a feeder club.
Unfortunately there are 80+ other league clubs doing exactly the same and with more money to offer the proven successes their opportunity.Good point.
A seasoned campaigner in his mid-twenties at Conference South or Ryman Premier level would make the step up quite easily I suspect.
Recent examples such as Sodje or Campbell support this.
Or two. It was telling we didn't bring on a substitute forward today
As swindon are now out of the cup will Lee Peacock be joining us with alex rhodes going the over way
The window has only been open a week. It's logical that a centre forward will be more difficult to get than any other position but I hope that we'll see a new forward sooner rather than later.

He's their top scorer and highly likely to be on more than any of our players, why on earth would he come here?
I think we need to look at youth and hunger rather than a several clubs player like Peacock.
I would be happy with a season of consolidation in Div 2 if I could see a team being built, while contracts expire.
If I was Fitz I would be on the phone to all the local prem and championship clubs and let them know that BFC would be interested in giving one of their CF cast offs a loan run out with a view to a permanent signing.
Please no more Willock after January!

I'm astounded that any thread on strikers doesn't contain more about just how poor Willock is, he is as woeful a striker as I have seen in four decades, how some people can still be supporting him is beyond me. Can anyone tell me when he last actually had a decent attempt on goal?

3 goals in 33 appearances. John Griffin strikes again.

Youth will not keep us up this year and will not serve us well next year either.
Its another idealistic vision that doesn't work when it comes to results.

However, JK will go as well, as he is a good player but we could do with him next season whether we stay up or go down but he is only on a years contract and we must be resigned that he will bugger off, unless an offer of another year can be made.

I think(?) we have an option on him for a further year.
Yep, reckon he'll be gone to Bristol City within the next month. Well that was the rumour yesterday, at least. But of course, we wouldn't sell our best player, given our predicament. Would we?

We all know he's pony, but it's not his fault that we offered him a contract (and even, unbelievably, stumped up 50k).
He puts in a lot more effort than many players who have a lot more skill. He deserves to be supported,as well as laughed at for being utterly hopeless.
Which is .... ?
