they showed Chris scoring from outside the box towards the Ealing Road End, he had on that great DHL shirt.. the team he scored against was in yellow..

This may be old hat, but I am reading his book at the moment and he has some interesting things to say about his time a Brentford. Notably medical treatment for injuries, the story behind him leaving for Swindon and the build up to our ignominious defeat against Wigan in the Freight Rover final at Wembley.

Posted before but met him at Ascot Races in corporate years ago and he was great company and had very fond memories about his Brentford career. Books are ghost written, he's had a very colourful history and in honesty for most sports fans he's got far more interesting stories to tell

I met him at a do and he was beaming while telling Rob McCracken?? that we had the best midfield in the division with bowles and Mr Terrance Hurlock

I wouldnt expect every player who plays for Brentford to have described it as the best time of their career. Considering who he played and the success he had im sure there are other clubs who he holds in higher esteem

whenever he's been on tele he has nothing but negative things to say about us......really weird as he was a fans favourite in his time with us......was part of a really decent team too

also, gave the kiss of life to one our fans (who still goes) in the braemar road after a bristol rovers game in 84 when they attacked him after the game............on a side note to that one of the rovers thugs walked into the hive before that incident and offered everyone out....cue a bee walking over and knocking him out with one punch lol lol

Thought the book was a good read. And if I remember rightly, I believe I was mascot the day he made his debut at GP, a home 0-0 draw with Burnley in 1980.

Now that is a gay pub,not suggesting anything,or having a go,about gays,just thought I would mention it,incase anybody wanted to visit,I thought it was the George, so don't go in there and say your just in for a quick one,like my mate did the a couple of weekends ago lol

I always find him entertaining. Was a good player too. I believe that Steve Perryman tried to bring him back, but our Chairman blocked it.

If you meet him he's a nice bloke, told this story before but just to balance all the negatives. Was in a box at Ascot with him years ago and he was happy to talk about Brentford and had a genuine fondness for us. I genuinely believe life was much more interesting and he had better stories at some of his other clubs to be honest and he rarely talks about his playing days on Telly anyway.
I can only talk as I find and I liked him.

First time in my life went in the George last night.rainbow laces for me, what a disappointment!! Expected to see all sorts of leather clad nonsense. Was just six chaps a lady and two dogs and not a reacharound in sight. Poor

Have to disagree, when I've spoken to him he seems a genuinely nice bloke. He also lives in a village not far from me and mates I have who live there speak highly of him.

On Sports Relief celebrity bake off last night, was amusing in a very natural way.

I was introduced to him by billy the bee at one if the cult bees books launch, friendly approachable and astounded when I told him how much of a hero he was to me and many bees my age.

I cringe at some of the bed wetting by some who go apoplectic when he doesn't seem to act as a walking advert for us at every opportunity he has.
