He's a name, he's got pedigree. Not convinced he's the right player kind of player but good luck. Hasn't he got a bit of attitude - no bad thing given our current predicament.

I think it was more a case of the prospect of going through the rest of the season with no other strikers being potentially disastrous.

Well that's good, we wouldn't have gotten him otherwise ;) We need someone of his type of stature though, he's pretty much exactly what we're looking for. I'm not worried about weight.

If Wed's go up he'll probably be looking for another club though, he might be even if they don't :)

Delighted he has come in. He is clinical in front of goal and still has it, He won't be able to play against Sheff Wed though.

CD will still need to take the weight off Morrison which isn't ideal but he are much stronger up front now than we were earlier today!

It'll be interesting to hear from Uwe whether this is just a stop gap or a genuine attempt to take a look at him with a view to next season. It's pointless if it's the former.

Bit of a panic signing seeing as he's 32 not exactly one for the future but scores goals at this level so just a case of nine games and nine games only assuming he's not allowed to play against Sheffield Wednesday.

GA wanted that much for two years not two months and Morrison is better than GA.... Other than that you make a strong point!

GA was happy with the money we offered, it was the length of the contract that was non negotiable.

Seriously though, even though it might have been nice to have heard something a bit sooner than 2 and a half hours after the deadline at least we finally have someone in who has a proven track record. It would be nice to think he can play with Berahino rather than Donaldson as hinted at by NLB above as we need more than one player to weigh in with goals and CD isn't going to .

Have still lost a large amount of my previous faith in the management during this fiasco though.

must admit it's my impression - my dad's a palace and ireland fan with a soft spot for Sheff Wed, and he thought Morrison had retired :rolleyes:

of course, all the best to Clinton while he's here, doubt it's a long-term move though
