:yes:Edmundo said:Actually, I think Rogers emerges from all this with some credit. He took a back seat and let JM/SC run things. But having seen the mess over the ticket debacle, he has stepped in to sort things out and take the kind of action that we have been calling for. I would read that statement as a clear indication that the people whose heads we have been calling for have been moved sideways and out of the firing line, so that better people can take their places. It was probably impossible to do anything more drastic without incurring enormous legal bills.
I know that not everyone is going to agree with me, but I see this as a huge step forward. The club has admitted as far as it ever will do that statements were issued that were inaccurate and misleading, it has apologised and is implementing changes to make things better. I'm not sure what else we could realistically have hoped for.
And let's hope that Martin can sign the exciting player that is hinted at in Eddie's statement!

If that is the case, the four BU appointed directors of BFC need to be called to account for their failure to communicate with BU.Ace Face said:I am convinced the BU Board knew nothing of all this.

NLB will be another chief with no job description I bet.![]()
I am convinced the BU Board knew nothing of all this.
Well my guess is that he didn't write it in the first place and is probably furious about it. So you could argue he was shat on too. No-one HAS to go, two people have chosen to and we all hope that they might stay if sufficient changes happen.Ace Face said:Edmundo - Altonwood Eddies OS piece was one of those which contained lies. No one is taking a pay cut and only the shat on staff have to go.
I think John Mac has also been moved sideways. Your suggestions would land us in court at huge expense. Right or wrong, you can't just slash someone's pay without massive legal risk. You're a trade unionist, you should know why.Bish said:Only RK has moved sideways and not only is he keeping his salary, we are forced to recruit a CEO is because RK and JM are so useless.
Well, I speak as I find. I think he's done a good job over this. You think he should have illegally sacked people and resigned, thus burning our bridges with the majority shareholder months before the expiry of the option. I don't resent you expressing your views - I just don't agree with them, that's all.Bish said:Also I resent you saying that a mate of Ron Noades has any credit at all.

I don't know. Can I ask you how we would finance the huge legal bills and compensation payments for following your prefered course of action?Ace Face said:Can I ask you how we are going to finance these new posts?
Ace Face said:Why would removing Altonwoods man be bad for the option which we are extending anyway?
Yes, but everyone wanted him simply to slice the lemons. If they had been competent, then that would have been fine. I didn't say he'd emerged spotless from this episode, but I'd say the balance is hugely on the positive side.Leicester Bee said:No he doesn't in my eyes. It is a fact that he had HIS name underneath the statement that was made and withdrawn in under 24 hours.
And, if he took a back seat during this time, it is my opinion that this not the way a Chairman should act. A chairman, whilst not expected to be hands on, has a responsibility to understand all aspects of the business and ensure that operations and strategy are secure.
As chairman, of course you allocate responsibilities, but being ultimately responsible himself, he should have been aware.
This demonstrates to me, a distinct lack of leadership, something that I would have thought would have improved, as they have first hand experience of a truly great leader, Martin Allen.

While I understand the frustrations that are shared about certain aspects of the way the club is run some comments have been ludicrous.
Some facts as far as I can see. We're going to appoint a CEO. Good. We're going to appoint a Commercial Manager. Good. A popular GPG poster has been given a key role at the club. Good. As for Roy King, John MacGlashen, Lindley Catering et al, I wish I could be as informed as other posters but I'm not. If that means that I'm thought of as a naive supporter with his head in the sand so be it, even though I'm certain that the vast majority of people don't know me from Adam.
If I were a casual brentford supporter who stumbled across the GPG I'd be horrified at the gloom around and it certainly wouldn't get me down to Griffin Park in a hurry. Is that reality or are we in the middle of a hugely entertaining season?
As the boss says, PMA. Heads are clearly not going to roll now so get over it and start seeing the positives from the lessons that have been learnt.
I'll now get my keyboard nicely warmed up for the volley of abuse that is sure to come my way ...
GPG is becoming a bit of

i thought that half the money from the bucket collections went into a players fund?
surely its worth putting money in if it will help ma strengthen the squad either for the play off push or for next season?
I'm sure many fans would give generously if it meant that we could bring in a 20+ goal a season striker!
