Just spoken with my Dutch colleague...
- CW "was once at Ajax but did not last there, so probably not very good!"
- It's pronounced Vine-hart, with the ending quite clipped, nearer to an English "T" than an English "D", so there you have it.

Presumably depends how match fit he is. I'd certainly expect him to be in the 16. If he's only fit for part of a game, I'd be inclined to start with him, to see if he can help to get us in the lead, and then bring on someone else later in the game, but Leroy might prefer to use him as a sub

If he has been on trial for a few weeks, and been offered a short term deal, then he must be a fit to play at least the majority of the game/s.
I dont know if they play friendlies at training anymore (like last season), but if so, maybe they did a game with him playing to see what he is like within the unit.

That's exactly how I thought it was pronounced, but a few years ago he was asked on television to say his his name and he said, "It's quite simple, it's Clyde Wine-hart".
I believe that the Dutch think that we're so useless at languages that we'll never get it right anyway, so they say what they think we want to hear.

Did OK, looked like he knows the game and I was going to say "cute" but this may now be misinterpreted.
What I did not like was his constant b***ockings to some of the youngsters when the ball was not played through to him how he wanted it - not good at all

Leroy has stated that the youngsters need to learn quickly at this level and they are not going to learn unless the experienced ones tell them, and telling them softly wont do..

There was a number of occasions when Wijnhard 'instructed' Osbourne in both his defensive duties and in where to position when attacking. This is just experienced coaching. Karleigh will be learning fast!
