Coin Throwing..

Coin Throwing..

As expected we were in the Referee's report for coin throwing on Saturday and we are in the deep stuff with the FA.

Coin Throwing..

I posted about this weeks ago and received comments like "why make a big thing of it" and other such stupid posts.

Coin Throwing..

One of those flares was dropped right at my feet. The smoke is very acrid, potentially choking in fact, and since my mate is asthmatic, I had to stand on the end of it to extinguish it (it was "Smoke Grenade" brand, for information).

The thing is, it must have come from someone in a group of 8 or 10 people (max) standing directly behind me, yet neither me nor my mate, nor his two lads a few feet further along, saw who did it. (There was another flare let off just a couple of feet away, too.)

So for all those people who complain how useless the CCTV or the Stewards are etc, it can sometimes be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to see exactly who is doing these things.

Which leads back to the need for self-policing - responsible fans need to help the club they support by pointing out these toerags.

Mind you, when I and others suggested something like this (also about flares) last season, we got the usual moronic apologists complaining about "snitching"...

oh do shut up, you GRASS lol

The club now needs to show that it is doing something more than a message on the web site. Come on, someone needs to grass up the morons who are continually causing these problems. They cannot be considered loyal supporters.

Direct correlation between sitting and being around boring moaners who don't get behind their team, I'll stand thanks.

So coin throwing/throwing fire works and/or other items is "getting behind the team" is it? I used to stand in Ealing road every week but the racism and throwing of objects made me move to new road which is a far nicer experience, where i sit no one really moans and certainly no one throws any thing.

Infact i remember there being far more moaners in Ealing Road.

Club needs to put a statement out saying unless these incidents stop they will have to make the stand all seated.

I'm sure the club is doing all it can to identify those involved. It's not as easy as some people think. I've seen a few CCTV systems in operation and imagine (for example) an overhead view of a scene like this - just how are you meant to spot which of those hands is holding or throwing coins? It's not easy...

See morally and logically this makes sense.. Of course you should report if you see it.

Would I in reality though?
Probably not....

Easy shifty looking bloke with a squint four from the right

Coin Throwing..

I must have wasted about £40 this season and not hit a single player. Ball boys must be making a mint out of me.

Coin Throwing..

Walking away from the ground today some moron threw a smoke canister which just missed hitting a young boy on the head. What sort of mindless idiots do that amongst their own fans - it could have had serious consequences but doubtless they will come on here spouting that it is harmless fun and nobody got hurt - but had the people around me saw who threw it they would have dished out their own justice judging by the comments I heard.

When you are walking in a crowd of people and someone throws something from a way behind you how can it be possible for those around where it landed see who threw it.

It landed just in front of me as Aberdeen said missed the head of a young lad and a fellow Bee by no more than a couple of inches.

You seem to be implying in some sort of way that I was part of the "instant justice" brigade that I spoke of (which I was not) but I was just stating what I saw and heard - the fact of the matter is that it is downright dangerous for people to throw smoke bombs and the like into a crowd of unsuspecting peaceful fans.
