Maybe but we need more bench cover too
None of the options will be up for 90+ minutes so I think most, if not all, will get good minutes, depending on the game situation at 60.

Were they though? There might have been the odd one of two players, but nothing more.

All you have to do it watch games back from the 80s (as I often do) to see the difference. Diving wasn't a problem then.
It's not the 80s but going back 20 years Stephen Hunt did a few Tom Daley efforts for us. More than a few

Mmmmm, not his best night last night, against an admittedly strong defence. It would be good to see a little more calmness on the ball at times.

Thought he was very poor last night. Tough game and we move on. Been absolutely superb so far.

Both he and Schade worked really hard without achieving too much… apart from Kevin’s header.

Confusing player for me. Lots of talent but he makes some bizarre decisions and isn't involved enough.

Two games of absolute sh*te from Dango sorry to say.

Bournemouth must be laughing all the way to the bank. There's a reason why they sold him and it's becoming clear to see why. No way is he a £42m player.

Dango Ouattara

I just thought he was playing too deep and gave Spence too much respect. Kayode wasn't on it either so that side was ineffective

I think that’s why he plays for us mate. All the talent and attributes to be one of the best in the league, once he finds that consistency he’ll be lethal and sold on again for profit I’m sure.

However, he is certainly by far and away our most expensive gamble yet. Wouldn’t be shocked if next seasons his season.

42m in the long run is nothing, he’ll be worth it 🍻

I wonder if he has taken his foot off the gas to avoid getting injured before AFCON. Seems a strange decision to play him for almost the full 90 yesterday when he was not on his game.

both wingers need to start creating more, last season a lot of our goals came from wing play, hence that sh*thead scored 20 last season. Dango and Schade have been, to be blunt, passengers in recent games. Schade is never someone who will do something special… he will use his pace to get in behind and occasionally score a header, but you won’t see him take his man on and beat him with messi-like dribbling, like how bryan did. Outarra though, that was what we were hopefully getting. is he just another schade or does he have something else? either way 40m is very steep, especially when cole palmer was that price.

Not as ineffective as the other side! He did seem to run out of steam quite quickly and I was surprised he wasn’t subbed much earlier.

I'm sorry if this has already been established on here but is Dango available to play for Brentford on Sunday at home to Leeds Utd?

I think AFCoN players will be leaving to join their respective squads on Monday.

I really haven't made my mind up about Dango... I thought he was pretty awful in the first half today, but then most were. Then second half he showed flashes of brilliance coupled with absolutely dreadful decision-making (the chance he had to make it 2-0 having got behind their LB, only to square it to a heavily-marked Thiago when it looked easier to score). He is a frustrating one, for sure.

I think we’re going to have to put up with some frustrating performances but pace and finishing ability are priceless, and he has both. He showed one or two flashes today, but also made poor decisions…one occasion he pushed it past Gudmundson and then ran straight into him trying to win a foul him rather than taking him on in a foot race.
When it comes together he will be some player though.

Dango Ouattara

In effective today, but no doubt will come good…7 goals involvements already…. We haven’t even got good ourselves yet…. Just like dango inconsistently consistent….. very true

A little note in the i paper from KA. Bees still talking to Burkina Faso and Dango might be available tomorrow, after all. Might still just be a smokescreen for Citeh, of course.

There first game isn’t until Xmas eve so that would be lovely

He won us a penalty in the first half and it was unlucky to turn out to be offside. I think hes been a great signing for is this season in what was a rather bleak summer recruitment campaign.

From KA's press conference earlier today:

"Dango and Frank have gone to AFCON, so we'll miss them both," Andrews confirmed.

No, good chance to finish second in their group and progress. Final group game on NYE, so if didn’t make it could be back for Everton / Bournemouth

I am not sure I would call it a “bleak” recruitment campaign. It also included
- A current England captain (arguably an upgrade on who he replaced).
- Irelands goalkeeper (also arguably an upgrade).
- Granted Milambo did not do much pre injury.
- Dango out of the 3 regular starters who came in during the summer is the only one who is definitely not an upgrade (at this point).

Phil Giles said very clearly in his round up that he is a good 2 years behind Bryan. He was not bought as an upgrade but as a player with development potential to be as good as Bryan if not better.

I think we need to cut him some slack. Our forwards are feeding off of less then scraps.

last three games we've created next to fek all.

I agree with you that the last few games we’ve created very little collectively (obviously Leeds being the only one we would have hoped to create a lot of chances from).

But whilst, as others have said, his potential is great and he is behind Bryan in his development, that doesn’t detract from the fact he could be offering more, even at this early stage. Price tag aside, the best way to be cut slack is to start performing. He hasn’t quite got there yet, so when he does, I’m sure we won’t be cutting on the praise either

Dango isnt an upgrade on Mbuemo, but then who would be? That doesnt mean he wasn't a good signing with what was available at the time. Signing Reiss Nelson to replace Wissa was certainly not an upgrade. We could have a long debate about Henderson being an upgrade but they are different players. For me Noorgard was a key midfielder that hasnt been properly reolaced. We've left a big hole upfront wiyh Wisssa and Mbuemo leaving and failed to move on and replace dead wood in midfield. My concern is that it's about to bite us in the arse.

I agree with you about Mbeumo and the snake but who exactly are the dead wood in midfield we failed to replace?

Bleak ?? We got Kelleher , Jordan , Dango and Kayode 😂

As expected, Dango starts for Burkina Faso in their first AFCON group game against Equatorial Guinea. On the RW in an attacking 4-3-3 according to Livescore.

You can watch the match at 12:30 on 4Seven (channel 49 on Freeview) directly after a Christmas episode of Frasier. It's the one after the episode where Frasier tells Daphne that Niles is in love with her and she realises she loves him too but she's engaged to marry Donny... will they? wont they? Spoiler alert, they will!
