Scott would have known him from Orient. Seem to recall he played well against us when Northampton ended our mini revival under Fitzgerald. Hard working midfielder - the Northampton boys might have an opinion.

Mixed bag of reaction on that messagebaord, but then we dont all sing from the same song book about players do we....if Smiffy Bee's posts were to be believed KO would be in the England squad :D

Some disbelief about the move as well :shrug:

Lets wait and see July 1st is fast approaching, dont know the player either, so will be a nice suprise if he comes and is as good as some say :wave:

Could be the creative midfielder we need. Did reasonably well at Northampton, and talking to one of their supporters this morning, they were sorry to see him go when he left them. Apparently rarely scores goals, but does create a lot of chances for others. Could he perhaps be a good provider for Moses?

RobBEEh is needed, he would have seen a fair bit of him.
I remember a no frills midfielder but reading that message board makes me think I have the wrong bloke.

Another average Division 4 player by the looks of it. Seems AS is setting his stall out for a season of consolidation.

He's very dangerous from set pieces but not really sure how he would fit in with Bean, KOC and Smith

I spoke to the great man who saw more of him than most and he said the same as me, a tough tackling and free kick taking LB or midfielder rather than the ball playing messiah suggested in the Shrews board. I remember cringing at James Hunt being linked (ex-Cobblers) but no real problems with being linked here. I will be asking Cobblers fans view.:sorted:

Seems a fairly mixed opinion of him from people. I'm being positive though and sounds like he would be more than capable as midfield cover and decent experience too.

Having said that this post scared me:

Before he chose Shrewsbury..

Would be a decent signing, nothing spectaular.

Above average League Two player (technical skills), available, dangerous throw-in to Elder, will compliment Bean in midfield, with a good pre-season (which he didn't have at Shrewsbury), he'll be OK. AS knows what he's looking for, with the budget he has available. Relax, things will be better this season. Some may hope for miracles, but he will be just what we need before LR happens. It's written in the stars.

P.S. I thought he looked useful for Northampton.

If he does come and people on this board seem to imply he might well.. then linked also to the Adam Newton situation too, I really think it puts KOC's future at the club further in doubt

I was thinking that, we seem to have too many midfield/ defensive players if Newton and Hunt arrive.....and these guys are not coming here to be squad players.

I have finally spoken to a Cobblers ST holder. He laughed and said he is not good enough for them anymore:rolleyes: but a good player who gets stuck in and can pass but mainly sideways. I asked him if he was tall and he said he's medium height, well maybe tall but doesn't look it.:confused:
I'm sure my immediate reaction was right, he is a ball winning midfielder with a limited pass on him.

Not as important as MacDonald or the fabled centre back, I think Hunt or the "other back up midfielder" will depend on how much we've spent on MacDonald or the new CB's wages.
