FC Midtjylland

Jeez have a look at the state of some of our fans on Twitter moaning about this. It almost makes me cry out for the days of League 2 football with 4k crowds and none of those ****s around!

What's the gist of their complaints?

FC Midtjylland

So who/what/why is Toby? Maybe a link to his account might be an idea.

He is the gobby little, Harry Potter, wannabee hooligan, thankfully banned (I believe) from the GPG.

Thinks he's the official unofficial voice of BFC supporters. Absolute knob and complete cretin.

Otherwise I've heard a lovely young man whos mother is very proud of him.

We are an embarrassment to football, Those fans that went in the FCM end are scum sub human scum, FCM are the Danish MK Dons, Come on Southampton!, Pictures of Brentford fans in the FCM end next to pictures of knives (suggesting they should be murdered for their actions I assume, or at least cut up a bit), And a lot of general abuse aimed at Cliff Crown for his half and half scarf (Bees/FCM).

(I'm summarising)

FC Midtjylland

Why would you travel to watch a foreign team yet wear our colours.

Those ''supporters" typify all that's wrong with football.

Glad I hardly go these days, actually felt embarrassed for possibly the first ever time being a Brentford fan tonight.

Well in moo-moos.

Any good pics of the Bees fans there?

Its not abuse of CC, just a general observation that he's not a great front man for the club ?

FC Midtjylland

If Fc Mij fans watched our games in shirts I'd like it personally. I'd like the fact they came to support us so don't see the issue with our fans wearing Bees shirts.

Not quite sure why anyone would have a problem with Brentford fans going to this. Maybe part of the anti-Benham brigade who like to have something to moan at...

FC Midtjylland

Baffled. Just completely baffled how anyone can get worked up about any of this. 50 people going to watch a football match.

Sorry mate that post is about Twitter not on here, he has had some abuse directed his way. Half and half scarves are a no no for me personally.

What did you reckon of the City fans who came in their shirts for Uwe's first home game? Personally didn't bother me, and I was not embarrassed for them.

FC Midtjylland

Support Brentford Fc 100 %. But you are still football fans. I can't see any problem in supporting a "sisterteam" in England, as long as Brentford isn't playing. If Brentford played in Denmark I would support you - unless you were playing FCM. :-)

Next time I'm going to London, I would rather watch a Brentford game, than a Tottenham or Arsenal game.

FC Midtjylland

Great atmosphere, decent game, particularly enjoyed the English chants from the Fc Midtjylland fans (you're s**t and you know you are, who the f***ing hell are you? We can see you sneaking out etc) great, friendly and vocal support. Great performance by them too!

And still Brentford fans haven't seen 'their' team lose at The St. Mary's Stadium.

If people wanted to wear colours at this game, I guess that's their choice. Not my scene but I can't see why anyone would want to belittle them. I don't think any FCM fans were upset about Brentford colours and flags being there and the impression I got at the end from the comments made to me and overheard by me was that they appreciated the extra support. Some people on here and twitter need to take a chill pill. Joined in with some chants, had to pass on some as had no idea what was going on but sang loudest to the One Matthew Benham chant. We had a good time and miserable gits aren't going to change that. oh...and good to see Dean Wells there too.

2 or 3 City fans turned up at Walsall in Uwe's early days, they were playing on Sunday, they were trying to teach us how to support a team and to sing 10 minutes before kick off, they made me cringe, anything that happened tonight isn't that cringey to me apart from Tobes wanting fans stabbed.

I couldn't care less about FCM but if people want to go fine...up to them...but pics of them next to a picture of a knife?

Remembering him on here and having a gander on his tw*tter account the person mentioned really needs to have a long hard look at himself...likes to mention "free speech" whilst being a gobby little runt...hasn't he got homework to sort for the new term?

Man alive!

Well, I was there but dressed in black; it did seem pointless to wear red and white as the home team were in... red and white. The FCM fans there know how to make a noise and enjoy themselves, although I'm sure some of the chants - the English ones, anyway - must have been prompted by Bees fans, like the Portsmouth one. I liked the 'hand-waving/shaking' and the players came over at the end and did a similar thing, so it must belong to the club.

Anyway, FCM are quite Brentford-like in style and in failings. A lot of decent possession and passing in the first 35 minutes, created some really good chances but fluffed it in the box. The closing down and tight marking really caused Southampton issues but, 10 minutes before half time they got ragged as Mane moved over to the left. At the same time, Sisto moved to the left as well and a typical overload on that side caused Southampton to get out of shape and the second clearance to a FCM player fell to Tim Sparv, who placed it in. Last seconds as the ref blew immediately after the kick off.

The second half and Southampton came out with a lot more purpose and intensity; FCM were all over the place and conceded from a corner; it was disallowed as the 'scorer' have given his defender a hefty push. Not long after and another ball lost while attacking and a breakaway caused panic and a penalty was conceded... 1-1. A few subs and FCM seemed to stabilise and retain possession better to see the game out.

Quite an enjoyable evening out; better than sitting at home watching the TV. Anyway, Burnley next, a much longer drive. I'll need to look out for the knives, though.

A basic, very cursory examination of Mr Crown's Twitter account suggests you are 100% wrong. Were you just lazy or do you think that MB's finance director posting a couple of tweets about a club that MB owns, playing in England in the Europea League, is something that deserves close scrutiny and perhaps some half-arsed vague accusations of divided loyalties?

I genuinely believe that some GPGers would be happier if we were in League 2 looking forward to Bury or Crewe away.

Read back through my posts & tell me whether you think I support MB or not & whether I'd prefer to be in L 2. Your post ha really pissed me off.

What a load of old bollx! I really enjoyed watching FCM tonight on the box and great to see Bees supporters there and getting mentioned . Why people hVe to react in such a tw@tty way pisses me off. Get a bloo dy life.

Yes their fans were brilliant, friendly and very appreciative of the support. Some great chants tried to join in, but even the the clapping in tune was hard work :D
Great result and some decent players they have too by the looks of it.
Enjoyed my night and will be at Burnley of course!!
That's if I'm allowed? **** the haters!!!
When I see Toby I'm going to pull him up on that tweet though. Absolute ****er!!

Pathetic, this. Didn't a group of Bees used to go watch Falkirk back in the 90s? What is the difference?

It seems those on Twitter, our fans and other clubs fans, are just using it as another stick to beat BFC with.

Now I hate a lot of things about modern football but this is not one of them.

Success seems to have brought out the worst in some of our fans old and new. What is going on?

good result for fcm but I can't get my head around the fan love in....I wonder if Cardiff fans go to Kortrijk games in Belgium or inter fans get the hot dogs in to cheer on dc United on the big screen.....the half scarf was sickly and if crown had a clue about football he'd never be seen with one...amongst football fans that makes us look like 'a rude word'

I will have to remember this next time I watch the "Wellingborough Diamonds".....

Don't want the wrath of tw*tter fans and diehards..

How will I sleep....

FC Midtjylland

But how many Brentford fans are going to Denmark next week? Very very few I would think. This is completely different to your examples as they were playing close-ish by and didn't interfere with a Brentford game. I watched on TV and was pleased for them but if we ever crossed paths in Europe (could happen....) then I'd want Brentford to stuff them

I imagine it was nice for the fans who went to be around fans who are actually grateful and appreciate what mb has done for them and buy into his idea for a change. For them they recognise they wouldnt of won the league without benham. To be honest since benham has been with us he has achieved the equivalant given how competetive the english leagues are and its only the beginning, but alot of brentford fans dont get that. Well done to the guys that went.

FC Midtjylland

Don't understand the negativity towards the support of FCM. Whats the problem with it? There are lots of examples in Europe of teams sharing a bond a brotherhood and fans supporting others.

Seriously whats the problem if U had the time I would of gone down to show my support.
People need to get a grip, more important things in life than to moan about this!

I'll be at Turf Moor should the "standing and singing loyals" want to discuss it with me.

Back to the match, FCM were excellent with dead balls and I'd hope thins is something the Bees coaching staff are trying to improve here. Corners and free kicks were whipped in on a low trajectory and they have a long throw expert, resulting in much more direct ball into the box than we have had. I'd guess Soton were aware of the danger because they had everyone back each time, so even when the ball was lost, it went straight back in. They were also much better, out of possession, at pressing than us, again something we were very poor with last season and that does not seem to have improved this.

Lessons to be learned, I think, but, overall, we came out thinking that new Brentford at its best does not look out of place when compared with these two teams in the Europa League; it would have been hard to imagine that 5 years ago.

Seems like some of our so called fans think it's still the 1980s. Dinosaurs.

I went last night thoroughly enjoyed the game it was at times scarily like watching us trying to play out from the back thought fcm rode there luck at times but deserved something from the game for all the hard work they put in (they didn't look as fit and conditioned as us)
Also enjoyed meeting some Danes who where genuinely exited about being part of the benham bees/fcm family

I don't think any of them were born in the 1980's! Plankton, more like.
