For 84 minutes it looked bleak. It all swung on a freak penalty from a sliced clearance that went backwards and struck a hapless defender on the hand over his shoulder. The penalty was saved then taken again after VAR intervention said the keeper had come off his line - which looked a marginal call. The emphatic final score reflected how Slavia Prague lost their cool after that. The finishes for goals 3 and 4 were superb though. Sometimes things go your way in games and you just have to savour it. Be interesting to see how they get on in the group stages. They look good going forward.
True enough, but I would guess we pay better wages so would recruit better players? If Thomas went off to manage them would it be seen as a step down? (I know it's not going to happen)
