FIFA

****ers! we don't need fifa. we should start our own breakaway world cup.

:kingkev:

FIFA

The problem is the corrupt incompetant areseholes who would run it are as bad as fifa.

As much as I hate fifa the FA are exactly the same.

i know someone extremely high up at the FA and he is a good egg & loves the beautiful game. i don't think they are all corrupt but just obsessed with maximising income and their image/brand. i guess that is corrupt though. damn. :owusu:

FIFA

The Argentine person: ‘With the English 2018 bid I said, “Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you get my vote”.’

Ethics Committee please.

I would like to think if the candidates (totally theoretically of course) for 2026 World Cup were Afghanistan, DR Congo, Siberia and Argentina, that England would vote for Argentina, purely based on their suitability to host the event. Replace Argentina with England and it would be sad to think we probably wouldn't get their vote. Football, or at least Fifa will never be above politics. And they can have back Tevez as well.

2026 will be China. Its Already been sorted and the brown envelopes ie. bribes, allegedly, have been accepted.

If it was an open vote (but can't vote for your own country) we'd still come last

FIFA

We are about as good at World cup bids as we are Eurovison...we will neither win either again.

Mind you when you look at the list of World sporting events that will held on these Isles in forthcoming years maybe it is just in Football and sh*te songs that we are unpopular.

FIFA

i hope there is some kind of anti-Blatter action tomorrow when we play his Swiss lot at Wembley.

FIFA

Maybe that nice, friendly, articulate, English hating Argentian rep should look a bit closer to home after his countries friendly with Nigeria..

FIFA

FIFA

So it's ok to allow a person with a serious corruption allegation against him remain in football so long as he's not on the FIFA Committee. Great.

FIFA

That news is no surprise. FIFA is rotten to the core.

FIFA

****ing piss take, Fifa is so like the Police..:mad1::mad1:

FIFA

So this is how FIFA are going to deal with their problems: just bury them in loads of sand.

FIFA

I see Jack Warner has resigned , the result of which is that all ethics committee investigations into his conduct have ceased and as FIFA put it in their statement "the presumption of innocence is maintained" !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13845203.stm

One of the doppiest statements they have come out with.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in FIFA. It makes them look worse. No investigation because the No 1 suspect has resigned and as a result of said resignation, is now innocent.

FIFA

I'd be very interested to know if any other countries feel this way about dear uncle Sepp and his puppets, or is it just us English?

How can anybody read that article about Warner's resignation and not come to the conclusion that this is the same old same old FIFA behaviour, sweeping the corruption under the carpet? Meanwhile, Warner retires to enjoy the fruits of his 'career'!

FIFA

FIFA are a joke. If anything it indicates guilt, not innocence.

Sadly I think it's just us making a stand, which is a shame.

Probably because Bloater has the rest of them in his pocket and as many of them are minor footy nations, they dont want to or can't afford to rock the boat.

FIFA

i liked the part in the statement about thanking Jack for his 30 years of work in Caribbean football - yes, the Caribbean teams are such powerhouses now aren't they

FIFA

No doubt the critics of the critics will continue to imply that the critics (of Fifa) are bitter Englishmen (and women) and the vengeful English media. Maybe the rest of the world just don't care

FIFA

Who honestly believes FIFA under Blatter will ever hold an honest investigation into corruption ??

I personally believe the corruption is organised from the very top of FIFA ie Blatter hinself, therefore he is never going to agree to any form of investigation.

I know this would put him in a no-win situation as I beleive any investigation that doesn't find his involvement wouldn't be taking seriously .....

YES I am saying SEPP BLATTER is corrupt.

FIFA

what a shambles. they should make little jack warner sit in the corner. :love2:

FIFA

I heard that Warner had a right go at USA and England yesterday in regards to these matters, who was it that first realised something was wrong with these two cheaters, was it the English FA??

FIFA

good little article here about Jack Warner, Chuck Blazer and the bad stuff that FIFA people get up to... (written by an American though, if you're against that sorta thing ;))

http://www.bigsoccer.com/wp/mel-bre...leaders-we-are-looking-for-in-world-football/

Good article but not really a surprise sadly. I did think Chuck was one of the better guys though, obviously i was wrong. Did anybody see a feature on SSN the other day about a rival governing body to UEFA. Didnt get to see it as i only caught the last bit but im all for a new fairer body taking over. I think they were German based but that could be wrong.

FIFA

Another football decision to send the next World Cup to Russia.............

FIFA

Oh My God!!!!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29109481

Basically, he is saying that we (the football world) will be trialling video replays now with coaches/managers able to appeal against one, maybe two, decisions per half - but only when the game has stopped. The referee and the coach will then watch a replay and the referee can then change his mind if he so wishes to. This is what happens in tennis.
Sepp is also standing again (shock horror).
He also confirmed that Qatar World Cup will have to be played in the Winter and will consult all the federations, FIFPro etc.
No point in boycotting the WC in Russia - as it does no one any favours.

What the hell is happening at FIFA?!

FIFA

Ref awards a penalty...coach appeals...player judged to have taken a dive. Penalty disallowed. Player sent off. No more cheating. I'm all for that scenario.

Great quote "He wants "respect, fair play and perhaps also the truth" over allegations over corruption within Fifa." PERHAPS !!!

FIFA

he is an areshole, one more term was all he wanted so he got that vote.. please can he pass in his sleep so FIFA can move on, as he's never going to leave..

FIFA

But only during a stop in play so....
Player goes down in box...ref waves play on...cannot be challenged.

until the ball goes out of play I guess..

FIFA

What happens if the other team goes straight down the other end and score,is that then disallowed?!

agreed, that's why it a silly idea from a silly old fool..trying to get in everyones good books..

FIFA

Platini explaining why he won't be returning his 16k watch "I am a well educated person. I don't return gifts."

;)

FIFA

Sounds like a sting operation: come to Zurich and vote for Blatter... get arrested!

FIFA

Wow something happening at last through the Yanks. Nothing on Blatter though, guess he will still win on Friday

FIFA

It's not going to be much of a vote when about six delegates have been arrested.

FIFA

Maybe I'm being naive here but if these accusations stick surely the 2018 and 2022 awards have to be questioned again don't they?

FIFA

Fed up with this crooked lot. We should boycott the next World Cup - lead the way and I bet others would follow suit.
