Five-year rolling TAPs model??

Initially launched as , we will give something back to the loyal fans, especially if you spend more money with us in the club shop!

But now seems to me it’s a let’s give back to the loyal fans and we will use you to spend more until we don’t need you …

Will the club give back to fans who purchased in the club shop to gain more points ? And are the club allowed to remove points from people who purchased through this financial incentive ?

Have attached! Also many more articles from the club regarding Loyalty points which change to TAPS

"Initially we’re going to introduce Loyalty Rewards to Season Ticket Holders on their retail purchases"

So this is where @8corner and others gained their "loyalty"

Did you get this from the same source as your Thiago injury exclusive.

Maybe find a new mate. Someone who doesn’t bullshit you.

I have literally tagged it, also if you search Brentford loyalty points in your emails there are several emails . There’s also no point in the initial T+Cs suggesting they can be removed.

that’s not what changed to TAPs, this was only for club shop purchases and you spent the points in the club shop.

From site and an email ?

Ticket access will be determined through accumulation of Ticket Access Points (previously known as Loyalty Points) more information on these is to follow on brentfordfc.co.uk

I think the Librarian is correct on this point
Loyalty points launched in 2013 became TAPs after a while...2015 or 2016?
There was a period where shop purchases and drinking in Stripes etc also earnt you loyalty points. All for gaining ticket access. The rate on retail was always low, I looked it up in another recent thread, possibly 1 point for every £5.
At a later point they split the rewards and after that point retail sales didn't earn you ticket priority anymore.

Anyone who bought things in the club shop to get priority from 2013 to say 2015, has benefitted. That spending has already given fans increased ticket priority for about ten years!
What do you propose the club "give people back"? Should people demand to return their 2015/16 goals DVD?

As I said above hardly any points would have been given out at the very low rate offered. If anyone did spend £500 on programme binders or beer those 100 points have helped them get tickets for many years, nobody said it would be forever.

Five-year rolling TAPs model??

Same name but two different schemes
See my post above. They were two different schemes by 2018, but not at first.
My first email about earning my first "loyalty rewards" was July 2015.

The club never stated they wouldn’t be forever, especially in T+c’s. And when using the word loyalty , most would assume they would be?

What I can’t understand is the people really missing out on tickets can’t be a lot? Annoy the many appease the few !

We all know the same people will be moaning they still can’t go to Fulham after this new system comes in place , as they still won’t be at Newcastle , Lisbon, Leicester !

Not in the link they provided they aren’t, on the scheme referred to in the link you used to accumulate points and spend them like tesco Clubcard this is not the scheme that became TAPs.

The loyalty scheme before TAPs you are right you collected on beer and pies too, but that’s not the scheme being quoted.

This thread has had some strange twists and turns, based on speculative scenarios, and now a forensic historical post-mortem that still gets us nowhere. It’s fascinating, if ultimately pointless.

OK. I think he's correct in respect of 2013-15 (as you say) and this is the spending I was referring to. I hadn't realised he was quoting a link to the 2015 launched scheme.
I quoted the link about that from 2013 a few pages back. In the spirit of not relishing having the same discussion over and over again i won't go and dig up the link, but it's there.

They posted a link to a scheme and said it became TAPs, it did not. Had it been a link to the previous scheme then they would be correct and I would have said nothing.

Believe the announcement is tomorrow. This thread will be closed immediately that that is the case.

Obviously a new one will be opened.

Stand by your beds

Five-year rolling TAPs model??

‘What's more, TAPs don't expire’ ? So fans have been under the assumption that buying tickets to more games will give them priority and that they will not expire.
No future tense. Have you got 999 at the ready? or Kurt's number to ask him WTF?

Five-year rolling TAPs model??

BTW, the club can just say "TAPs are no longer used for access to tickets, instead we have Kurt points. You start off with no Kurt points". HTH

Hate to be the legal boff but they can’t . Under consumer law, there must be fair reason! (1/2 games not going to general sale probably would not cut it). Also would need a fair time scale usually 12-18 months to change anything like this.

Also consumer protection laws prohibit businesses from misleading customers about loyalty programs. Which could be seen as above for anyone stating TAPS don’t expire. Anyone who has season ticket /membership before this point could be legally exempt!

Looking forward to the injunction at the High Court tomorrow afternoon in that case.

p.s. British Airways materially changed their loyalty programme last month. Guess how many court cases have been started. Correct. None.

Just need to contact citizen advise throught there live chat or telephone number and they will raise the case for you !

Don’t , means do not. Mean TAPS do not expire ?
So what? The club can introduce a new loyalty scheme, call it TAPs 2.0 and you start with all the TAPs 1.0 that you accumulated in the last five years. Your TAPs 1.0 will never expire, but never be of any use going forward.

Yeah yeah yeah. But don't you know that Citizens Advice will get involved . No, Seriously :ROFLMAO:

Almost as bad a line that Igor has three broken legs and won't be back until November

British airways loyalty points expired originally, just changed the way you earned ! Also if you got a tier upgrade by march 2025 it would not be affected, giving consumers enough time to adjust , but not affecting old scheme

The High Court have rightly started to get quite irritated at baseless injunctions. In some areas of law, they’re even naming and shaming lawyers doing this and referring them to the relevant regulators.

Let us know how you get on.

Just as a reminder. Following the club's annoucement this thread will be closed.

A new thread should be opened when the announcement is made.

Wrong again my fine fruity friend. I may have picked up a handful of points from Club Shop purchases. I certainly picked up the Brucie Bonus TAPs for early season ticket renewals. The vast majority of my TAPs will have been garnered by going to games, home and away.

Anyhow, I'll read the announcement at 14:00 and then I may understand what the huge problem with the current system is and how it has been resolved.

Didn't Tesco recently halve all the points customers owned, they gave no before hand.

Maybe we won't loose any TAP's but the future of awarding them could be linked to how many you currently hold?

You need to be a sovereign citizen to run this sort of case but it leads to difficulties in the pleadings because if you are you become estopped from arguing the name attached to the TAPs is yours. Unfortunately my expertise in c18th Admiralty jurisdiction is too limited to discuss further.

Five-year rolling TAPs model??

Can we wipe the post counts and reaction scores from this thread at the same time?
Apparently the comms today will confirm 1 TAP will be awarded to individuals for each post they've made on this thread.....
High TAPers getting even higher now then.....?

?

Five-year rolling TAPs model??

I don’t get this. Surely, the point of refreshing the TAP system is to level up more recent fans who currently feel disadvantaged by those old duffers, like me and my son, who’s early points were handed down by a bloke with a beard on some random mountain top in Mesopotamia?

I’m nor sure why some feel personally offended by a change for which they don’t know the details anyway.
