Fulham support

What makes me laugh about Fulham supporters is...well, everything.

Artificially lifted well above their status by a multi-millionaire conspiracy nut and destined to be completely screwed when he dies/gives up on football at which point they and their thousands of season ticket holders will evaporate, along with their ground which will be flogged off to cover their debt.

Ten years from now they'll be standing outside Lionel Road begging for a ground share.

Their away support is an embarrassment for the division they are in, regardless of the excuses made by their supporters here. And who else but Fulham has a neutral section! You'd think such a massive club wouldn't have enough spare tickets for a neutral section.

The only fans in the football league with bigger delusions of grandeur than Luton Town.

anyone remember 'Dicks out!'?

Still waiting for subsidence to cause their crappy little stadium to slide into the Thames :)

Be impressed if you took that many. When we were in your division we took over 2000 to Carlisle. Not bad by anyones standards.

Nice try, but that's a tad selective - you won promotion that day, 900 to Accrington in the bottom division for a fairly meaningless league encounter, following a team that had up until not long before been on it's worst run, it's worst league position for 30 odd years, is support that you can only dream about.

Your away following hasn't increased much since your league 1 days, your home support is made up mainly of JCL that would make a true Fulham fan (Of which you don't sound like one much to me) cringe.

If you go down, the arse is going to fall out of your club, and we can't wait to see it happen. Be very interested to see how many you get at home to Blackpool next season, and take to Cardiff once the spotlight's off you media darlings.

None of you muppets know what your talking about...

Please give proof that we were averaging 2500.
What's your average gate now?
We didnt win promotion at Carlisle.
Our traditional home is in the top two divisions, yours is in the bottom two. You are not our rivals. We merely have a soft spot for Brentford.
We have higher average support in each division than you guys
Your ground is a sh*t hole ours is traditional and picturesque
Because of segregation and police rules it's a loophole to split the away end into 'neutrals' and away. There's a max of 2000 neutrals at any one game.
Media darlings??? Don't make me laugh.
You didnt take 900 to Accrington.

How an earth can you tell whether or not Im a true Fulham fan from a couple of wind up posts on here??? Not fond of the JCLs but having always had a greater support base to you guys a lot are simply returning fans. Anyway, good luck in a late play off push, despite discovering a bitterness from you guys that I thought was only in existence at that other massive W London club in Shep Bush, I still like most at Fulham have a soft spot for you guys

By the way, where did you muppets get 600 to Bburn... It was nearer 900. Any way, you wont see me on here again. Never seen such jealousy and bu11s1t dressed up as fact. See ya. Good luck

My apologies, you won the championship of the old 4th division that day then, or are you laughably suggesting you regularly take nearly 3,000 300 odd miles away from home for non-important league games?

If not, it's a sad, desperate little trick to pick your one decent turn out (go on mention taking 20,000 to Man Utd, but neglect to say it's for an FA Cup Semi-final) to try and win a pissing competition - we took 5,000 to Peterborough in May 1992 - no reason, we just regularly take 5,000 away with us. Tit!

I'd be more impressed with your attendances if you averaged around 12-13,000 at home and took around 10% of that away with you - the attendances combined with the % away support you currently have just back up what a bunch of tourists, a large percentage of your support is.

And back to my other point about you more than likely being a relative new comer who just happens to have digested some facts, any Fulham fan worth his or her salt would know bar the fluke of Fayed (no Al from me sunshine) taking ownership of you you'd still be floating around the bottom two divisions now.

Stick it up your arse, it's not wanted.

That just proves my first point by the way - any proper Fulham fan who'd been going longer than the last 5-10 years would know that we had a rivalry. I'm sure you hate Chelsea, but to pretend we're some scruffy little cousin to Fulham shows you're incredible naive.

Not many are there? Worse than our away support has ever been.

PLUS the attendance at Accrington was 1,100 how an earth was the Brentford turn out 900? BS!!!!

When we were in the same dire depths as you we knew we were just passing and never proper rivals a small window of those just starting coming to Fulham would have disliked Brentford but that soon passed when we were once again back within spitting distance of Chelsea.

I think Andina is getting confused with all his/her (are you male or female with a name like that?) rantings. It was you who said 600 ref: post #76 I merely started this thread after I heard it reported on 5 Live OK it was Stuart Hall but despite his poetic ramblings he does know what he's talking about.

Also:

We took 900 to the postponed game on the Saturday. 1100 only turned up for the re-arranged game on the Tuesday two weeks later. Even then we still took more to that than you would have taken

You really are an idiotic little toerag aren't you.

If you showed that post to a Chelsea fan they'd laugh their arses off.

If it wasn't for Fayed you muppets would still be trolling around the lower divisions with delusions of importance. Now with Fayed's cash you can temporarily enjoy your moment in the sunshine but you'll be back down here before you know it. You didn't earn it; you bought it so go back to whatever Thameside stone you crawled out of and join all those fans who've had season tickets for years but were mysteriously absent on, for example, 1st January 1994.

383 i believe - i assume you have never taken less than 383 away before based on this comment.

Get facts right - there were 900 at the game that was called off - why do you think Accrington went to such actions to get the game played?

BTW - why, if you took 2000 to a game in League 2, are you only taking 900 to one of the biggest games in your Premiership stay?
And only 1500 to Derby when the coaches are being laid on Free?

This is great fun. Can we rename this thread "Fulham Watch"?

Five of their last eight games are away and they have not won away since September 2006. Say no more.

1,000 aggregate away attendence for all 5?

anyone got the Reading average attendances for the same period?

Useful site that.

Never mind Reading though, look at Wigan!

2008 Wigan Athletic 18,798
1995 Wigan Athletic 1,845

what's that as a % increase?

I think Wigan are rather like Fulham , if they dropped out of the Pl to the lower leagues their attendances would be closer to Accrington's.

Quite right in your statistics there but in 93/94 we were a division below you, the old 3rd division.

Lets just compare a season when we were in the old 2nd division too (what is now called the championship). Average attendance in our first year in that division was 13,076 compared to 8,456 from you lot. Oh and the season before that when we were promoted to the championship our average attendance was 11,387 compared to 7,195 from you.

I suppose it does go to show they are glory hunters, not tossers. Personally I have supported Fulham for the last 25 years so I do not fit that category. I believe that some of the fans that now make our support up were ones who decided to stop going after the Malcom Mcdonald days when we started to slip and ended up kicking arounfd the bottom 2 divisions for 10/15 years.

I must say though that the clubs marketing department do a fantastic job and seem to have been able to grab the attention of local kids who are the next generation of support.

Well let's see what happens when you don't have Premiership football to offer.

If we do get relegated then we have to bounce back straight away to keep the crowds. It's like anything though, apart from our core 3000 we all know that the rest are going to bugger off if the club are not attractive. Like you lot when you made it into the Championship, where are the 8,000 odd now?

Our number at the millenium against Stoke was an absolute disgrace.

That's the problem in a nutshell. Next season you're looking at averaging around 12k I reckon, and if you don't do well, about 9k average after that. Fayed will be long gone by then.
