Fulham thread

Wow, this is a busy thread, isn't it? First time I've looked, as far as I can remember. Only Sawyers and McEachran threads have such frequent contributions. Ahh now, thinking about it, I might be spotting the pattern. ;)

Are we having a loud rendition of “bees up Fulham down” for the viewing millions on Monday?

Seeing as Barnet are getting a bit close to the relegation zone it could be Bees Up, Fake Bees Down.

Woman in the office is from a Fulham family. Couldn't understand why I kept singing Knees up Mother Brown to her. Told her to ask her husband so she texted him. Reply comes back... "Tell him to f**k off". lol

You working now then Woolley. How do find time to come on here? Better than teaching?

Yes thanks. Took two weeks of my school summer holiday, then started here. Loving it. Stress-free and job finishes the second I sign off. Sufficient time available to keep up with correspondence on here as well, as you can see (never previously posted during 'office hours'). When I told ex-colleagues that I now work flexi-time they too told me to 'f**k off'! lol

Every little helps...

I did notice it, but didn't like to point it out.....

I see it so often on message boards / Reddit etc, probably more than the correct usage. Either that or it bugs me enough that I notice it. Given that it has some logic (payed being the past tense of pay), I can see it become a valid usage in the next 20 years as the language continues to evolve.

Sorry for deflecting the thread.

Bees up ? Fulham down ?.

This sequence, although coincidental, has made me laugh more than anything on the “Good Jokes” thread.

Check for yourselves, post are sequential, undoctored.

I did think this, but then thought it a bit self-indulgent to issue the denial.

More likely kudos for selecting a Fulham FC employee on which to trial your non-conventional (I assume) teaching methods.

Also, @heavywoollenbee in understated Yorkshireman shock! Clearly been out of God’s own county for too long. How do you know there’s a Yorkshireman at the party?... etc.

Man Utd at home up next for them.

Missed the trip to Putney this season although maybe a change of pub next season would be wise.

Only a matter of time now brothers, hopefully their fate will be sealed at Easter. The pre Milwall beers in London Bridge will taste a lot sweeter.

Fulham thread

I really thought they would do far better this season. Delighted to be so wrong!

£100M should buy you safety, delighted to report that Claudio isn’t their saviour and they’re on their way back

The Natives were definitely restless today.

I don't reckon any of them know what they're doing, Khan, Ranieri or fans... ;)

It was never a safe pair of hands and while a wonderful, charismatic man it’s no real surprise.
While he may well have worked miracles at Leicester he inherited a team who had been on a phenomenal run under Pearson beforehand.
His record before shows nothing to suggest he’s a manager you’d appoint in a crisis but I’m very glad they did.
Still think they have the forwards to get them goals but thankfully their defence is Championship at best so I trust they will they rejoin us very soon.

...do hope our trip to Putney is late summer this year....or late Spring of next....always pleasant.

Mitro might stay, he seems to genuinely like it there (possibly because he was signed then played in the wrong position by Newcastle, so when a club played him in his favoured position that allowed him to show his ability, he appreciated it). But they are doomed. There is a rumour that Shurrle has a release clause in his contract should they go down.

They may struggle to motivate in the Championship, given their investment levels were clearly that to stay in the Premier League. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why it's not worked at all, but a porous defence and a naive appointment in Ranieri probably have done it.

Schurrle is on a 2 year loan isn't he..
I imagine his parent club won't want him playing in championship as his sell on value to them won't get much as he is meant to be in the shop window I believe.

Fulham thread

They will implode when they go down.

Their expensive imports won’t fancy the Championship and will have to be unloaded at a massive loss.

I also wonder how many of their squad agreed to a relegation wage cut too.

Oh dear!!
