They will implode when they go down.

Their expensive imports won’t fancy the Championship and will have to be unloaded at a massive loss.

I also wonder how many of their squad agreed to a relegation wage cut too.

Oh dear!!

Beautiful

Doubters hall of shame

Sadly I think they will do better than Cardiff and survive

We need to draw a line under the last few seasons and forget about Fulham till we get the opportunity to meet them again, we have more important things on the agenda.

Think they will be fine next season.

This does make us seem a bit...obsessed, as mentioned above. If it was started during the season when they were low down that would have been okay...in May is a bit cringy.
That said, I expect them to stay up. They'll keep their best players, and their brand of football will go well IMO. Them and Wolves should both have decent/good seasons (especially Wolves).

I think the bitterness, whether conscious or unconscious, on some posts makes us look a bit obsessed and small time.
From me it’s a well done

Word is they get far less than normal. Can’t remember the rationale but someone on here can explain. Assume as they just finished a load of them

Next season could have a lot of good trips. Teams coming down and up

Teams who go up and straight back down get less parachute payments in an attempt to get teams to attempt to stay up instead of banking the money and yo yo every other season.
Think Burnley was cited as a club that done this very well, never really spent anything, cleared debts and then started to compete.

I am fairly sure that the chap that did those reports on various football clubs finances, that circulated on here a few years back, mentioned that one of the many reasons that QPR where in such poor state was that most promoted clubs now have relegation clauses written into players contracts and they didn't. I assumed that meant that if relegated the club could reduce the players salary or maybe other parts of their overall package.

Blimey, if people think Bentley is bad with crosses just watch the Joker in goal for Fulham lol

ditto spending £100m plus wages you would have thought they would be fine. Can't wait to see them again next year equally can't wait to see what the Brentford FC twitter account will tweet .... :D

I think the Fulham that pre-dated that barnstorming promo run of last season kicked-off in August, get the feeling that even though they added to the squad they'd not prepared for the uplift in quality. Too many loanees and too higher an expectation placed on young shoulders(Sessegnon). Offensively they're OK but they've shipped far too many silly goals at critical times with some comedy defending. God knows what their side will look like next season. I thought they'd do a Brighton this season, not be the joint worst team in the lg.

They're going to be record breakers in the Premier League

Record goals conceded
Record zero wins away
Record tears on the tele

Weren't fulham financially in trouble if they didn't go up last season ? Doing what they done last season will be seen as justified from their view.

What they've done this season on the other hand it's brilliant. Could it speed up their troubles

I think the £200m+ they accrued from this very brief flirtation in the top flight may aid their re-build somewhat. Chambers, Babel, etc will be shipped back to their parent clubs and from the ashes a new-old Fulham will arise, ad infinitum.

Personally I think they'll be much weaker than in 2017/18, which is a pretty big indictment on their overall set-up.

Fulham thread

I wonder where they'd be if they had kept most of last years team together rather than spunking £100m away on new players.

They wouldn’t have done worse with the same team that took them up. Apparently one of the problems is there is a massive split in the dressing room with last years players prepared to do extra training and whatever it takes to improve and some of the newer players taking the shilling and no more.

Massive game for the scum away to Southampton on Wednesday. 3 of their next 4 after that include Chelsea, Liverpool and Citeh.

Lose on Wednesday and the fat lady will be doing her final vocal warm ups.

We also need to redress the Northern bias in our league next season. Udders are virtual certanties for the drop. Fulham, and Brighton or Soton will do for me. And relegated to L1, Rotherham, Bolton and 1 other would be fine - especially Wigan. Happy to lose any Northerners to the PL. Sheff Utd, Leeds and Boro. Up from L1, any of the top 7, apart from Barnsley and Sunderland.

It's also a win-win as we'll probably lose the two Anglian sides aswell.

I believe a certain Mr. Benham would rather prefer BHA to go down than Soton:

"Matthew Benham’s life career moved in the gambling direction in 2001 when he worked as a Trader for Premier Bet. This time he spent working under one of the most successful gamblers in the world – Tony Bloom. It is said that Matthew Benham and Bloom had a fallout and have never gotten along since."

Er - do you mean Blackburn? Not the greatest place in the world. Whereas Blackpool has what shall we say - has many attractions.

No we need Sunderland as a Bees chaps weekend in Newcastle is a must

Coming down, realistically Huddersfield sadly are down so we've got them regardless but be good to welcome back Putney and one of Soton or Brighton so need Cardiff to pull their fingers out..

Going up, love to lose Boro, Sheff Utd and Leeds if we don't make it up and going down Ipswich,(gone) with Rovrum and Bolton to be replaced by Pompey, Charlton and Sunderland although fear Luton are nailed on.

Next season could be far better Southern balance again if all the above happens. Raras, Putney, Reading, Charlton, Millwall, Brighton, Pompey, Bristol City, Villa, Brum, West Brom and Norwich all very good away days if a Saturday? Thrown in a weekend in Newcastle vs Sunderland, a night in Wind Street vs Swansea, Nottingham is always a good craic, looks like if we stay down we've got lots of good away days again next season.
