Not sure this increases their chances of staying up - they'd have probably been better off with Big Sam.

Friend of mine is a Leicester fan - he gives Pearson equal credit with Ranieri for the perfect storm of 2015/16 - Ranieri was smart to keep a winning team and style from their great escape. Did very well to keep it going all season but once he tried to impose his own style and sign his own players the following year it was a disaster. Every single player signed in the summer of 2016 (their one-off time to attract players to play for the champions) was gone within 18 months / 2 years.

I'd compare his times at Chelsea and Leicester with Avram Grant - pretty good keeping a decent team going (Chelsea) but not cut out for motivational survivor football (Portsmouth and West Ham). Also he's 67 - how does that fit with the idea of a long-term project??

BTW I wish he hadn't gone there as he seems a lovely bloke and don't want to hold a grudge against him

Didn't think he could go up much more in my estimation, but if he takes Fulham down....

I shall happily give him a warm round of applause when he brings his team to Griffin Park next season.

............far too early...............

He's highly rated but would cost a fortune and want control, he gets in, gets teams up while upsetting everyone in the process and then leaves. Not for us.

To be fair, I think there are a few problems behind the scenes at Fulham which are not of his making.

I don't think it's a great appointment...he won the league which will give him kudos for the rest of his life, but that was a perfect storm in a teacup. An example of confidence, going under the radar and fortune (not luck) that all came together at once. I think if Leicester had come 5th that year then Fulham wouldn't have appointed him here.

I'm not entirely sure what he will add that Jovanovic couldn't do, but with Fulham's investment they'll expect to be doing better than they are. Something is amiss there though but it's hard to say what...

A not unexpected defeat, but still worth celebrating.

...............looking good...............

Fulham thread

I'm more worried about us than them.

Exactly. This thread and the QPR are just coming back to bite us in the arse. We laughed at Orient for doing a countdown to Relegation about us but look how pathetic we look right now.

Fulham thread

Cannot even bring myself to gloat about this until we have steadied the ship.

Fulham thread

Do you think they have a relegation thread for us.

Fulham thread

Oh dear some trottaness going on with their penalty lol

Fulham thread

............get the three points............

They are gash; I thought they were a dead cert in 2007 so will not comment and hope events unfold as we wish. :D

Spent £100m in the summer and they’re still sh*t :D

Will Khan be willing to give another manager a big wedge of cash?

Might need to buy a new centre half though! CM might not need to move house if they outbid the Muff.

Doubt it. They don't rate their current ex Bee CB although he never actually played a league game for us.

Drawing at home to mighty Oldham with a full strength team...

Losing lol

And Fulham were given a pen for a blatant Cairney dive.

Mitrovic missed rofl rofl rofl

 rofl  rofl

Arguably the wrong thread for this, and being out of the cup might make their push for relegation glory more challenging, but hey

 rofl  rofl
