Maybe a little OTT but Rohit I believe is entitled to question the decision and seemed to do so in a fairly sensible way. Kohli though was out of order, frustration or not. It was quite amusing though watching the NZ batsmen scratching around been clueless. Wasn't just the fading light, he was getting the ball to move all over the place. Definitely up there as one of my favourite bowlers and that's a tough thing to say being English

Not sure I agree. Kohli as a senior member of the team was just having a conversation with the umpires, no finger pointing at all. From an India's perspective, the conditions overhead NZ could so easily have been 2/3 down with the quality of Bumrah which would have had a major impact on NZ run chase. Where they were wrong, is that if the umpires have made a call, then no need to question it. Anyway been an enjoyable test match day - excellent counter play by Pant and Sarfaraz then NZ used the 2nd new ball perfectly in favourable conditions at the time. NZ to win which sets up the final two tests in Pune and Mumbai which I predict will be turners nicely.

It was definitely more than a polite conversation. Rewatch it. Definitely born out of frustration though as you're right, another 10-15 minutes of play and NZ would have been 3 down. However, he should know better and despite being one of the greatest cricketers ever, he does let himself down on occasions.

Not a shock if India’s batting today IMO was worse than the 46 all out last test. Some of the shots were rubbish. But taking nothing away from NZ who have shown India how to play on a turning wicket. They deserve the win which I expect they will get on day 4 (if not tomorrow).

Prior to the series starting NZ would have been rank outsiders but agreed they have simply been better than India in both tests and won most of the individual days - will be thoroughly deserved as, if expected, they win this test.

I think a team that lets Mitchell Santner take 7 of their wickets is not one in good form. Not even sure he can be called a spinner, more a slow bowler.

I understand Gambhir has a reputation as quite a tough and ruthless coach who isn't afraid of making decisions. I wonder how long the likes of Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja have left under his tenure?

Gambhir has already lost a ODI series against Sri Lanka, more than likely to lose this test series against NZ at HOME and if India don't do well against Australia and fail to reach the WTC, then trust me he won't be in that role to make decisions.
Fatboy has never convinced me as a proper test batsmen and goes missing in SENA tests or is absence for them. No one would dare drop Kohli and he will leave on his own terms. Virat has a life here in London, with his daughter going to nursery. However, unlike Sachin he doesn't chase records/ numbers but has got at least a couple of years left playing tests/ ODIs. Jadeja love him but IMO has past it but still far better than Stokes

Congrats to New Zealand. A tremendous achievement their first ever test series win in India. India along with Austrailia easily the toughest place to go and play test cricket. New Zealand are definately an irritant to India in recent times having won WTC and a couple of semi finals in ODI cups.
