So sad to see such sparse crowds at what was once one of the greatest places to watch cricket. And not just Barbados, but the whole of the WI's...
Not a finder site in cricket than Chickie and his famous sound system at the recreation ground in Antigua. All now gone

Sad to see that England are not touring WI in this WTC cycle. WI relies on the vast English travelling support.

Just listened to a podcast and they were discussing the 2027 Ashes series, with no Old Trafford or Headingley!
Terrible decision IMO!


The 2027 Ashes series in England will be hosted at Lord's, The Oval, Trent Bridge, The Ageas Bowl, and Edgbaston,

IMHO a Test Series should be played at: Headingly, Old Trafford, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge and I suppose you have to have one at Lord's.

I would swap the Oval in for Old Trafford but otherwise I agree with your list

This Kookaburra ball is not doing the Championship any favours this week

10 division one county championship games played so far this season with the kookaburra ball. 8 of them have ended in draws.

In the latest round there was 5715 runs scored at an average 49 runs per wicket.

Whoever at the ECB decided to play 4 rounds of matches with it this season needs to get in the bin.

I watch fairly regularly the hilarious TMS Jonathan Agnew wind up with Geoffrey Boycott 2017 On you tube.
it creases me up every time I watch it.
obviously some of you will be aware of its existence.
i want to share a link on this but I am technically challenged. so can someone help?

I did do this Les, but when I did this it only showed the web site address., not the video that you have shown.

No reason that I can think of why it wouldn't work if it's a valid url. Could you try posting the message here please?

That is top class sportsmanship - he could have made it to 500 in theory before declaring as they will bowl Zimbabwe out twice even if they batted all day.

Maybe should have tied it and then declared

Mulder has confirmed he was happy for Lara to keep the record:

"First things first, I thought we'd got enough and we need to bowl," Mulder told South African broadcaster SuperSport.

"And secondly Brian Lara is a legend, let's be real. He got 400 against England and for someone of that stature to keep that record is pretty special.

"If I get the chance again I'd probably do the same thing. I was speaking to our coach Shukri Conrad and he kind of said to me, 'Listen, let the legends keep the really big scores'.

"And you never know what my fate or whatever you want to call it, or what's destined for me, but I think Brian Lara keeping that record is exactly the way it should be."
