Great night, but that's put a dampener on it for me. The reason they are that side of the gate is that 46,000 people have died in the UK. I'd guess, average family size, that means over a million people have lost love ones and these people simply do not give a single f***, not to mention a total disrespect for the club's wishes. Not OK. Simple as that.

GP Scenes

@Banana Should you not have kept this to yourself?

tbh it's nothing like as bad as what's been shown all over the news from Anfield, Elland Road over the past couple of weeks...........

GP Scenes

Appreciate the covid stuff but i enjoyed this and other footage I received of singing in pubs etc last night.

They are clearly few season ticket holders as nobody was wearing a Brentford mask so more the come lately fan who is expendable

GP Scenes

Ollie Watkins pictured in the crowd........could be risky.

But fair play to them for celebrating, if i was closer i would have been there.

GP Scenes

Had to go down to see the floodlights on for the last time :(

No celebrating, just congratulating the players & management

GP Scenes

Don't mind people going down to celebrate, but Ollie shouldn't have gone into the crowd there - if he does pick up anything would be a massive blow, hopefully it's all fine.

Probably why this virus will Not go away. I got pissed off by these Recent mass gatherings. , when we were told to stay inside. Not a case of being a do Gooder. This was plainly stupid. Science so far cannot kill it, wonder what people that have lost loved ones feel. We have been told to stay indoors, which i understood to be law. Why have these gatherings been allowed.

GP Scenes

I just went into my bedroom and shed a tear or two, Pride, elation and sadness all rolled into one.

Well as the police don’t have the resources to respond to car theft or burglaries in most of London I’d assume they don’t have tens of officers sitting around spare to disperse a non violent gathering.

Nevertheless a gathering that will give the virus to someone else, and will ultimately delay us fans getting into Lionel. Rd next season. Such a shame if it is premier football and we are not there. Over 100 people died yesterday and 700 more infections . With the don’t care attitudes, is that ok then.

Nowhere in my post have I said it’s ok or declared an opinion either way, I simply stated a reason as to why the gatherings weren’t dispersed.

He didn't go into the crowd the crowd went towards him and the stewards pulled him away . One bloke went to hug him but he was pulled away .

The police were there unmasked standing around protecting the millions of pound of footballing talent getting on the coaches outside from the footage I seen.

GP Scenes

Also amazes me the amount of hands up in the air with mobiles filming.... enjoying the life threatening moment and forgot about filming crap footage of others with their hands in the air with their mobiles

4 stewards escorted the players back to the car park, pretty sure all players i saw had a mask on, Jensen didn't look too impressed everyone was singing Sergi Canos at him lol

GP Scenes

Sorry but they are complete idiots. No thought for others. It could mean they have put lives at risk. It could mean we lose one or more players for the final. What were they thinking? With attitudes like this it could be many more months before anything is back to near 'normal'. We would all liked to have been there but the majority of fans put others first.

I bit most of them have not lost a family member and a next door neighbour both males in their 50’s to Coronavirus,(we have) if they had they would have stayed away

.....looks like youthful exuberation and covid social etiquette do not make good bedfellows...who'd have thought....

tbh it's nothing like as bad as what's been shown all over the news from Anfield, Elland Road over the past couple of weeks...........

Every beach, riverside, park and front room in the whole country.

Yes it is wrong but lets not go over the top. There has been 7 cases in Hounslow in the last week and its going down everywhere. Lets just hope we are coming out the other side.

Complete morons.

The trouble is, as others have said, unless one of these idiots contracts the virus themselves and suffers badly, or a friend/relative does, they seem to think it's not their problem. The really annoying part is that, because most of these clowns seem to be young, they are unlikely to suffer bad symptoms, which just encourages their blase attitude.

Not from the statistics that I see . Not going over the top. They were told by the club to stay away, we are stuck with this virus and everybody needs to adhere to the scientific instructions. We need to stop the spread, it is so simple

Unfortunately we have our fair share of idiots supporting the club. The reason they were there last night were for selfish reasons, what they wanted to do. No thought for the impact on anyone else, or the consequences. In that respect we are no different to any other club.

I wonder how many people moaning about this on here were as vocal when the BLM protests were taking place, at a point when the infection rate was far higher........ the self righteousness of some people on here is so cringy........

I've had the virus. I know how bad it can be and my wife has to face it every day, at work, caring for patients, so do't call me self righteous.

GP Scenes

I haven't commented on either matter but if you want my opinion they're all selfish c**ts. Does that help?

...and probably Johnny come latelys rather than long standing (youthful) supporters.

What happens if the squad en masse goes down with Covid and the 'final' can't be played? Does the season get curtailed and the team finishing 3rd go up? Asking for a friend....

It's actually quite stable now. 519 4th July; 581 29th July.

Never ask anything for a friend... Let them ask themselves :)

That is still a lot of deaths. Other countries are starting to experience more infections. I want this to go away as much as everyone else.

Bloody hell - some people on this thread lol

The last ever match at GP after 116 years, and making our debut Championship play-off final; historic. Let people exude their passion, joy and emotion rather than hiding away. The virus will be with us until we find a vaccine, anyway

The moment was well worth it :sorted:

And yes; I was one of the yoof in that crowd. Zero regrets, the passion and emotion between 21:45 and 23:00 were unforgettable. A truly special moment with fellow Bees to give the Fortress a fitting send off

The key sentence in your post is 'Lets just HOPE we are coming out the other side'. I really hope you are right, but we need to do everything we can to prevent it spreading again.

And that makes it OK people like you to, possibly, spread it to others - even the squad? Just because you don't have any symptoms, doesn't mean you don't have it. What part of that really simple fact does your tiny brain have difficulty understanding?

Sorry Tom, but that says it all. Crowds are not being allowed into football grounds for obvious reasons. Crowds gathering in and around pubs is just as dangerous. I doubt anyone celebrating at the ground yesterday will become seriously ill, but if one of them has it and passed it to their nan or grandad, they may well think differently about their thoughtless and selfish attitudes. It was no-one's right or entitlement to gather last night. That's the trouble - too many rights, but not enough responsibility.

Yes, it was a special moment, but one that needed to be celebrated individually. Just hope you don't experience a relative dying from this disease, along with the tens of thousands in the UK that have so far.

BLM supporters did what they could do to socially distance themselves, but the support was much bigger than they expected.
They did well to do what they did under the circumstances, but why would you want to compare both.
The far rights gathering would have much more cause for concern. Especially when they were attacking plod and anyone who got in their way.

I will be honest here and admit that if I lived closer to Griffin Park than I do, then I would have walked up after the game at least just to watch the lights go off.
I would not condemn them.
Looks like a bit of a laugh.
But I also understand peoples concerns.
And so should you.

Think that's new infections not deaths Ian. Anyway it appears to have stopped going down which must be a concern.
