Tickets Grimsby (A)

Would be surprised if Grimsby turnstiles have that ability.
Very true. Know a few who bought Colchester tickets for the TAPs - they were a no show.

Thought the ticket needs to be scanned now to get the TAPs.
Depends if the club send the information.
I had to cancel West Ham away last minute, but still got the TAPS.

I don't, I reckon there'll be a lot of STH's gobbling up TAPs for this one (whether they intend to go or not).

It's a bluff imo
They do do this when the away club supplies the data.
See the previous discussions about “I didn’t get any TAPs for Newcastle away because I used the lift”

I’m not convinced people in the early windows for a 1,200 capacity away game need to be burning £25 to add to their already decent totals, either. You’d be better off buying for two home cup games (as many, many STHs don’t seem to bother to do) and you get two games of live football for your money too. Seems like one of those problems people dream up. If we get legions of people selling their tickets next week “because something came up” you might think differently of course.

Grimsby won't know who has come in or not so I suspect there will be some TAP harvesting. A minority though. It's an easy way to boost your total.

Club just need to get one or two of their comp friends to scan the tickets as people come through the turnstile

TAPs are more expensive than Avios? Sign of a big club!
While West ham tickets still around! Palace would’ve sold out before them if it wasn’t for the remaining restricted tickets!

Grimsby (A)

Still monitoring the sales closely.

For those who like to understand the buying patterns for these tickets, about 75% of those sold in window 1 were sold in the first 45 minutes yesterday. I havent got more precise info than that.
This includes any that were set aside for player comps amongst the "general" seats (there were about 10 tickets x 4 across two different blocks greyed out a few minutes past 3pm) but it ignores the back three rows.

Would anyone really spend £25 simply to get 50 TAPs if they didn't intend to go? Seems bizarre to me.
Yes ! Taps are really important for this fictional European Tour we will go on!

of course. do that twice and you have enough to buy (and then sell for hundreds ££ the likes of Chelsea and Man City tickets).. assuming we're still playing them next season that is :-)

That'd only apply to members though.
Anyone buying now will have a ST, atleast 2k TAPs by the time we play them next season anyway, and unable to buy extras.

I’m pleased we got our three tickets in the second window. Don’t need to cancel the hotel.

All booked up , anyone find somewhere open after 12 in Grimsby let us know

Been let down by a few in my group who didn't feel it was necessary to tell me they now couldn't go before I purchased tickets for them.

Have 3x adults available if anyone would like them if they are unable to get any in a window. Can hand over at Liverpool game or up at Grimsby if required. PM me.

Contact the club for a refund.

Sorted for the one extra needed in our group.

Another reminder that the window opened at 2pm (NOW) not 3pm.

Website on laptop at 2pm telling me I didn't have the permissions to buy tickets (even though I did), but the app on the phone worked. I was only five points short on the second tier, so relief to get sorted. Yippee!

Has anyone ever had any luck with asking about changing the person a ticket is assigned to? Didn't think it would make it this far so bought using a season ticket in a higher tranche who wasn't going, but would like the TAPs to go to the ST holder who is actually going to this one!

Should be a section on the website where you can change who’s going.

Yes I done this for Palace and had it sorted within 24 hours.

About 200 left including the ones that were added today. I think these will go to tomorrow's window.

Yep. Why didn’t they have these on sale in the first place? Seems a bit odd.

Appreciate there wasn’t much time to sell them but a bun fight where someone with 1349 TAPs has the same chance as a STH with minimal TAPs doesn’t seem particularly fair.
Maybe one more tier would have been appropriate ?

Maybe!
Though there aren't that many "new" season ticket holders each year so it may not even be that many people.
And 200 is a reasonable number given only about 130 sold in the first 90mins today. I suspect all season ticket holders who are on the ball will get one.

However there was no guaranteed it'd be as many as 200 of course and you could say those with more points still deserve the better choice of seats.

Maybe, but you have to draw the line somewhere

Grimsby (A)

Would have been nice if they included those that have done both previous rounds in tomorrow's window

The home matches you mean?
Nope. Bournemouth away, as well as Villa home. If you have proof of both on your account you should have priority over it going to all members... Assuming it does go to all members

That is called making the rules up as you go along. We have a supporters charter which details how tickets are sold.

Grimsby (A)

Oh it was totally selfishly motivated, not even denying it. When the draw came out I even commented that this was the one I wanted the least.

Due to my own availability for the first time in a decade, I was hoping to follow the team on a cup run this season but this and Wycombe away were always gonna be the draws that put that in jeopardy. Nevermind

Nope. And you’re not even going?! Where do you live, Bournemouth? 👀
