My favourite pre-season friendly has been saved. Will the BYE cause the same amount of havoc as they did two years ago. :D :fishing:

any chance this game could be played in memory of the young boy who died at the end of last season and was mentioned in the programme...I am ashamed I have forgotten his name...maybe a good reason to do it then!

If it was me I would get the bus into Hounslow and get the 111 which goes straight pass the ground

Get the 267 to Fulwell and then the R70. You are right by the ground. :sorted:

A bus would need a fully calibrated tachograph reading if it was pulling a trailer but doesn't need one otherwise.
Tachographs need recalibrating every 6 years and inspected every 2 but the new digi-tachos will have a complete calibration every 2 years. If not the driver is fined 2k on the spot and the man at base in charge faces the same penalty.

Any questions?

It's a longer bus than that Staines adventure we went on.lol
Loads of Vodka.

 :alcoholic I can confirm I will be getting the 111 from Hounslow aiming to be there for 1 and then getting horribly drunk :D  :alcoholic

R70 goes nowhere near the ground!
111 from hounslow is your best bet :sorted:
Don't listen to her! lol

It goes near enough. The 111 route is the craziest ever, he'll be lucky to make kick-off. :D

Anyone thinking of driving, will be advised to set off extra early.
Parking is scarce near the ground, in fact I believe they cone off the main road, "Station Road".

Anyone thinking of taking the train should know there is a strike around the country. The best way of getting there by train would be taking a train to Teddington and getting a taxi or walk for 45 minutes :)

Hampton away

It's only a 30 min walk from Strawberry Hill, lots of good pubs on the journey!

Don't listen to him!!
the R70 is the craziest route ever as it is about a 20 minute walk fro mthe nearerst bus stop to the ground
111, however, goes right outside the ground. and stops outside the pubs nearest to the ground. :sorted:

She's right. I forgot the R70 turns right at the junction at the top of the map below. However, it's only 10-15 minute walk.

The 285 from goes near, and the 111 stops at the ground.

Network Rail has informed us that the RMT has suspended the 24-hour strike that was to start at noon on Friday 21 July and the 48-hour strike that was to start at noon on Thursday 27 July.

This is separate to ASLEF drivers’ proposed strike action on South West Trains’ network on Friday 28, Monday 31 July and Friday 11, Monday 14 August which, unfortunately, is still due to go ahead.
