Head injuries?

There should be a mandatory 3 minutes off the field for a head injury to be assessed this would reduce the faking
Good idea. But they won't move players when assessing head injuries. Perhaps will work if it's a subsequent assessment.
What really effin gets my goat is how a brush of a finger on someone's cheek is treated the same as a genuine clash of heads that actually is dangerous.

Head injuries?

2 things
Player must stay off to be assessed for 5+ minutes or wave the trainers on and let play continue
This!

2-3 minute break. Or physio on and play continues. If the ball or play affects the treatment drop ball and away we go again. It’s the go to tactic atm. Very frustrating, Newcastle are the masters at feigning injury to kill momentum:

Yes. Refs need to actually earn their money and take notice of what actually happens. Same with their dive at the end of the game, disgraceful.

The issue is that then players would play on with a genuine head injury.

Do a survey, a bit like a game show.
Which body part do you hold when you’re kicked in the shin?
A. Leg
B. Privates
C. Head
D. Belly button

Not sure what can be done other than force substitutions but then, like Banana said couple years back (earlier in thread) no player will go down and will continue and make one case potentially worse (only needs one case to bring shame on any new rule) by wanting/needing to continue and may also get players to target opponents to go down so they're forced off.

But I do agree, it is the latest new tactic by teams to get the game stopped.
With VAR and many cameras filming around the ground, having these matters reviewed after the game and punishment handed out to cheats could be the best way to deal with it. Doesn't help the actual game itself, but hopefully it would cut down on cheating.

Head injuries?

While some players/managers will abuse the situation, and referees will ALWAYS err on the side of caution (correctly imo), there is no easy solution to this problem, I'm afraid. ?

Head injuries?

Some inhumane opinions on this thread.

Protect the players.

Yes, there may be some players who cry wolf for a team advantage but most will be genuinely worried they have hurt themselves.

A ref can't make an immediate judgement on whether the player is cheating so call on the physio and get them assessed as the game goes on. 5 min assessment. Then back on if they are fine.

Read more of this thread and you'll understand that's not feasible.

Not if you went with the second point and waved the trainers straight on,wouldn’t stop the game then

Head injuries?

Concussion protocol..get them off for a few minutes when they go down with a head injury...this will soon stop it happening
