We beat Abertillery 10-0, at home, in November 1914.It was in the Southern Lague Second Division. However, Arbertillery resigned and disbanded the following month-and the record was expunged.
And, no, I was not at that game.
In 1893/4 we beat Kneller Hall ( !!)by 10-1 at home, in the West London Alliance. QPR and Ipswich were in the same league-but so too were Uxbridge Reserves, 2nd Coldstream Guards and a side called Westminster Ponsonby!
The 11-1 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers in Feb 1900 was also in the Southern League Second Division-and we followed that up by walloping Fulham 5-1 the following week!
