a good shout, but I dont think the fans at BFC are going to be patient enough for a new, untried manager...unless they are a miracle worker.
The next man, if TB can't dig himself out of this mess, must be a proven success and able to work wonders with peanuts..........

Maybe. Let's just hope the person(s) in the position to make the decision knows who the right person is to appoint if and when Terry departs. Perhaps you should be advising them cos I ain't confident.

Chris Hughton - nice idea but is he more suited as a coach (like Harford)?

I do not see any point whatsoever - beyond the fun involved in speculation, in proposing new potential managers without knowing what objectives would be set for him.

Is the target simply to remain a Football League club until Lionel Road is built or something more ambitious?

When appointed recently, Brian Little said that his sole target was to keep Wrexham in the League.

At least he and the fans know where he stands. We on the other hand are in the dark.

A Big NO to Ian Wright.
I'd put him in the same catagory as TB, all mouth.
I hated him as a player also.always ready to take a dive. Butcher should stick to his cushy little job as a TV football pundit.
Every day I look at the OS, praying that the headline will be
BUTCHER SACKED
But alas he's still with us.
My choice 6 months ago was Liam Daish and still is, although I notice Frank Burrows has been mentioned and I believe he's looking for a job.
How many more defeats, poor performances do we have to endure with TB?

I think either way, we should be there this Saturday, if bloody Newcastle can get a draw against Arsenal, with all our players available - we can and shall :confused: get at least a point this weekend and we should all be there :sorted:

It's along the same lines of the recent the England (McClaren) situation..........;)

Everyone wants that to happen so we can get rid of Butcher & Co........

Ince had/has Ray Mathias as his assistant though, who is vastly experienced around league football. If we could bring that kind of figure in than maybe Wright would have a chance, although I don't think he is as clever as Ince or carries as much gravitas.

There are a few managers who have done good jobs in non-league, Daish is highly rated, Nick Holmes at Salisbury is one I think would be worth a look.

We probably need a young, hungry, motivated manager who has worked with lower league\young players before.

I'm not sure what that Liam Diash is like but he seems to get a lot of credit, with the myfootball club thing it could be a perfect time to approach him. Also Adrian Whitebread might fancy going it alone.

Just a game of pure speculation, I know but I'd like to see one of the following three as the new manager (already all been mentioned): -

Liam Daish or Alan Devonshire - surely both will get their chance at league level sooner rather than later, based on their managerial records and the way they like their teams to play football

or

Adrian Whitbread - I've been saying this for some time but I'm not sure he's willing to move away from Martin Allen. There is no doubt in my mind that he has been massively influential in MA's career to date.

However, as North London Bee said in an earlier post, this time the expectations for the new manager need to be understood and shared by all and conveyed appropriately!

TB wasn't even in the last list/poll on the GPG, dream on if you want MA back, he's onto his 12th letter already offering his services to England at the moment now that the 'special one' has ruled himself out, i believe MA will be getting around to filling in and posting off his CV by tomorrow but don't hold your breath................................... waste of time.

I want Fred Callaghan back !!! with Bill Dodgin as Director of football from above ! with Steve Coppell as coach !

Maybe we can entice Wally to come back after his excellent coaching of the Reading squad........................ if only we'd kept him instead of MA, we'd be up there now..................

Whoever it is I hope we donlt hear loads of crap from Dickens about how great his selection process is.

With any luck abee will have some influence on the process of hiring of the new manager.

Maybe, imo, there needs to be a consultation period of say 4 weeks involving abee, shaggy, Bee H speaking to NLB, WEB, Streetboy and other influential figures in the footballing world as to who BFC can entice to GP, add to that the scouting of Gee Bee, BFC will rise from the ashes and will win the 2008 play off final ! :D
