I hope he isn’t too aggressive for some our PL defending prime donnas who scream louder than a 4 year old. Can see some tw*ts in black buying the yelps and being card happy towards our Igor.

I don't know who the number 23 was for Wimbledon yesterday but Thiago hit him with a shoulder barge in the first 5 minutes and sent him to another dimension :ROFLMAO:

Excited by what I saw of him yesterday, a front 3 of Schade Thiago Mbeumo is a frighteningly fast, direct, powerful proposition.
then cheered to us before running all the way back

people were singing Gold for when he scored, how about we keep the ooh igor thiago chant and then use gold for mbeumo.
Not sure Bryan's surname fits it as well, although admittedly you could use the several different variations of pronunciation throughout.

My thoughts as well, he is big, strong, physical and snidey defenders will look to buy fouls. He picked up a lot of bookings in Belgium and can’t see that changing but needs to avoid being played once he’s on a yellow

Just watched a great new video of our training sesh in Portugal with Thomas on the channel. I could not see Thiago for the life of me, has he not travelled to Portugal?

The striker, who scored a brace on his first appearance for the club, is unavailable for this evening's game against Benfica and will have further scans next week to determine the extent of the injury. More information will be released in due course.

Are you f***ing joking.

Let's hope it's not too serious.

Are we sure the club didn’t accidentally mix up Thiago and Nusa’s medical notes? Might be why Brugge were so sure we were wrong about Nusa ?

One day we’ll get better luck with injuries. Miniscus from a quick google is about 6 weeks, so he won’t miss too many games. Maybe come back after the September international break.

Wow. Absolutely unbelievable.

On the plus side, if he does have a serious injury we still have Ivan: maybe the idea if him staying for another year and running down his contract becomes more attractive to the club.

Good job we've got another striker spare who other clubs are too tight to cough up for. On the other hand, Wtf is our luck

A meniscus tear usually happens when you twist your knee while playing sport. But it can also happen from more minor injuries such as twisting when standing up. Symptoms of a meniscus tear include: knee pain or tenderness. stiffness or swelling around your knee – the swelling may not start for a few hours or days.

Meniscus tear recovery time: A mild meniscus tear – especially for younger people – can get better in about four to twelve weeks. But for older people – and unfortunately, I'm referring here to anyone over the age of 35 – it can usually takes three to six months, but often even longer.

What was his injury back end of last season…..

I'll allow it, if it's the only one this season. Please don't let this be the start of a repeat...

So frustrating however at least it is a position we have a fair few options in, especially if we don't ship Ivan out as quickly as we had thought.

What was his injury back end of last season…..
The bigger surprise was that Brentford had elected to do their spending at Club Brugge after a very public transfer mess in the January transfer window involving Nusa.

He had appeared set for a big money move to the Premier League throughout that month before Brentford discovered a knee injury during medical tests.

That saw the deal halted and a very public back and forth on the matter, before Brentford eventually elected to look elsewhere.

And it seems that affair led to some worry when it came to Thiago a month later, when he suffered a knee injury in training two months after his move to Brentford had been finalised.

“Now Thiago had a problem with his knee. Brentford didn’t like to see that happen, of course,” admitted Beer.

“And Igor himself had never had a real injury before. That caused stress for all parties. But Thiago wanted to play, because he made that promise.

“The pressure after that transfer was suddenly much greater. When he didn’t score in a few matches, journalists suddenly said that his transfer fee was much too high. That he’s not worth it. Nonsense.”

Is that the injury that Djokovic suffered? He seemed to get back pretty quickly.

On June 5, less than four weeks ago, the 24-time grand slam champion went under the knife after suffering a torn meniscus in his right knee during a fourth-round win over Francisco Cerundolo at the French Open.
But Djokovic did exactly what he's done throughout his record-breaking career – defy belief through a mixture of stubbornness and sheer hard work. He gruellingly rehabbed the knee to the point that, less than a month later, he declared he was ready to play at SW19 and try to complete his quest of matching Roger Federer's record eight men's singles titles. "If it was for any other tournament, I wouldn't have risked it or rushed it as much," he admitted. "I just love Wimbledon."

Inexperienced football related medical team = the level of injuries we get. Ridiculous

Igor Thiago

Nusa must be finding this all midly amusing whilst completing a full pre season with Brugge…

While we had a lot of injuries last season, that doesn't mean that any this season are automatically down to poor preparation. Terrible luck but he should still play a significant portion of the season.

Annoying but you rarely get through a pre-season without some form of injury.
