I was trying to optimistic. Queue the clamour to keep Ivan and buy Neal... ?????Slightly more than that then.
That was one hell of a tackle.I once injured a lad’s knee in a Sunday league game and the next time I saw him he was a woman.
I’m not saying this is relevant but…
Say his name and he appears. I believe in Neil Maupay.Terrible luck. Wonder if this might herald a short term loan until January to provide some cover. Assume Shade/Wissa/Mbuemo will be starting front three.
Well it used to beThat was one hell of a tackle.
???He's done for the season then.... definitely can't sell Toney until Jan at the earliest
Wonderful - odds on Toney signing a 2 year deal with guaranteed sale next summer? Not been any hard rumours about him leaving so he might need to put himself in the shop window again to tempt the big boys.
We were discussing exactly this on the KLP thread. If Ivan stays, numbers wise, we should we alright at least till winter. However, if a late bid comes in for him, then a loan maybe needed.Terrible luck. Wonder if this might herald a short term loan until January to provide some cover. Assume Shade/Wissa/Mbuemo will be starting front three.
?? Only you! He's done for the season then.... definitely can't sell Toney until Jan at the earliest
He could but he would get more money for a year with a contract extension and move anyway next summer....I know footballers are not exactly ethical now days but we looked after him for 8 months whilst banned for his own stupidity so he should return the favour and help us out now.10,000,000-1.
He can just stay, put himself in the shop window and move for free next summer for a nice fat bonus!
Yer wha ?He's done for the season then.... definitely can't sell Toney until Jan at the earliest
No real pre season then playing catch up
Djokovic said. “Really, that gave me faith and optimism that if rehab is done right and correct, and if of course the knee responds well, which is something that is very unpredictable, then there is a pretty good chance that I'll make Wimbledon.”Why was Djokovic back after 19 days?
mid/end January be up to speed.... hopefully. No real pre season then playing catch up
So 4-5 months out that’s a kick in the nuts.
The final day of 2024 is five months from today. Not sure where six comes from.More like 5-6 months.
IT until January would work if his attitude is good. It would give IT a few more matches in the shop window.Ivan stays until Jan then ? Or do we make do as will still have quality in that area .
I’m sure there will be people who expect us to splash another load of cash , big sigh
Getting up to full match fitness will take a bit of time. He'll probably be introduced over some weeks. If he's firing on all cylinders by late Nov / early Dec, there'll be nobody happier than me.The final day of 2024 is five months from today. Not sure where six comes from.
If you don't believe it's going to be late 2024 then you can just make your own guess, of course. We all can.
3 weeks off ?He is still on Holiday till the 5th August, so no chance IMO.
The only rumour i hear is that no one has the money to sign him.Wonderful - odds on Toney signing a 2 year deal with guaranteed sale next summer? Not been any hard rumours about him leaving so he might need to put himself in the shop window again to tempt the big boys.
Because he didn’t take the Covid jab and is invincible. Why was Djokovic back after 19 days?
What has happened to Thiago should not influence the Toney situation, and I am sure we will continue to do everything to move him on in the next 5 weeks, acceptable offer permitting.Well, on the one hand, we can't really miss someone who's never actually played for us...
Plus if we keep Toney until January then our front line is better stocked than last season anyway.
On the flip side, FFS!
I disagree. I think Toney's importance to us has increased, so there's more chance he stays now (I.e. our view of what is an "acceptable offer" has just gone up)What has happened to Thiago should not influence the Toney situation, and I am sure we will continue to do everything to move him on in the next 5 weeks, acceptable offer permitting.
Shouldn’t but most likely will. If not price wise, simply numbers. We’ll have Bryan, Wissa, Schade and KLP. Great players, but to sustain us for an odd 6 months. That’s toughWhat has happened to Thiago should not influence the Toney situation, and I am sure we will continue to do everything to move him on in the next 5 weeks, acceptable offer permitting.
So try and keep a player who will be more than likely hacked off because we may have turned down a good offer. Don't think we work like that, especially if we have more than adequate cover. I cannot see how his price would now go up, we want to sell him and he wants to leave, nothing has changed in that regard.I disagree. I think Toney's importance to us has increased, so there's more chance he stays now (I.e. our view of what is an "acceptable offer" has just gone up)
> cheer up, we're Brentford>Pull out of Nusa deal because his medical record and sign Thiago instead.
>Nusa injures Thiago
>Thiago back in time for preseason.
>Thiago out for 4-6 months after 45 mins in preseason friendly.
>No other signings so far this summer.
Think we need an ‘all worries’ thread before the season has even started!
