Guess it's employee confidentiality but you can often surmise more from unasked and unanswered questions to Thomas, Tiago fit for Saturday? players supporting Gustavo, what the state of play might be. If it's bad news at least the January window is coming up.

So an uncredited source referencing another uncredited source has caused chaos.

This is why I don't listen to podcasts or believe social media!
Seems to be about the gist of it!

Igor Thiago

No idea if Igor is injured or not, but it would be interesting to know how many of our players were either injured upon signing or got injured within a few weeks of playing/training.

Igor Thiago

I’m guessing (and very much hoping) it’s not true. Frank showed last night he unfortunately couldn’t care less about the cup, in which case I imagine there were just 0 risks taken on Thiago and he’ll be ready for Saturday.

If it is somehow true then it’s a complete shambles all round. Antonio Nusa must be laughing his head off.

Yep he must be loving it being 34th out of 36 in the champions league and playing for a team everyone in Germany hates

I just listened to the podcast, (so nobody else has to?) & as far as I could make out it was @Premier Bee who passed on the rumour. Maybe he could enlighten us further?

Don't think he'd of made a huge amount of difference yesterday, we didn't lose because of a lack of quality attacking options, we lost as a result of injuries to key players and a poor midfield.

4th in the Bundesliga, 6 points off the top and starting every single week for club and country at 19 years old despite our claims of a serious knee and back issue. I’m sure he is loving it.

Nusa has got the sum of f*** all to do with Igor Thiago. I know it's a popular stick to beat the club with on Twitter but I'm baffled why you're bringing it up here.

Igor Thiago

Nanas quiet on this so I am fearful ?
Perhaps my eyes were playing tricks on me but certain I saw a :( post from our learned fruity friend on this thread earlier which now seems to have been deleted

Just slightly ironic we pulled out of a deal with him because of a supposed knee and back issue to then sign his teammate for the exact same price who’s missed nearly half the season with a knee issue, and a winger who is yet to play for us due to a back issue whilst he’s played every game this season. Time will tell, and I’m sure, Nunes particularly being so young, will work out long term, but the decision making in regards to that deal just seems a bit baffling at the moment.

Anyways, hopefully whatever this rumour is about another injury is untrue and he gets his first goal at the weekend.

Glad you noticed that too! My post replying to it ("that bad, eh!") has also been deleted!

I am struggling to understand why we would announce to Saturdays scum bag opponents, who is available/ injured when they have done nothing to help us with our 3 games in 6 days issue. Hope we stuff them with whoever plays - one of the clubs I dislike most, even with pooper Scooper gone.

Whats this news about Thiago ( if true ) that we all dread as mentioned in the Across the Seas podcasts ?
Just listened and didn't hear any rumours therein could someone confirm the time stamp please?

[edit] found it @12:50 "if the news about Thiago does turn out to be true which we all dread Wissa is going to be a 90 minute man for the majority of games"

I don't dread it btw. We've got plenty of forwards and have managed perfectly well without him and are a top-half PL team. The negativity and over-dramatic reaction blows my mind

Its expectation , signing our most expensive forward and then he was out straight away for months , he gives us a different option , and offers an outlet to hold up the ball

Yes, but I am not "dreading" him being out for a few games. We're the TOP SCORERS IN THE LEAGUE!!!!

Get some perspective

Igor Thiago

Just catching up and can’t make out from the recent posts if there is any new news linked to him potentially being out since TF said he was fit and training earlier in the week? What am I missing?

Not if we get an injury or 2 to what we have. Plus Thiago is a target man which none of the others can provide.

Igor Thiago

Still confused, did you not say he’s out for a few games? Perhaps I should just wait and see, hopefully all is well!
I didn't think he did.

It was more of a if he is injured we scored freely without him we will score freely without him if he is injured but no one is saying so let's relax a while.

That's my take anyway

Igor Thiago

Scoring at home has not been a problem. We have struggled away to score more than one in a game. Games like the Fulham one cried out for Thiago. He will be a massive miss as we lose an essential dynamic of an outlet and it puts more pressure on the defence.

Igor Thiago

I think Notts Florist, with a defence built around two strong centre backs, is the exact game where we need Thiago’s qualities, if only to create space and opportunities for the other attackers.

How can he be a "massive miss" when he hasn't played to be missed? ?‍♀️

Because he gives the qualities that Toney brings. You could see in the Everton game how much of a difference it makes when you can have an outlet and defend from the front by actually holding onto to the ball or pushing the game back into the opposition half. With 2nd half of the season being really tough home games and the need to pick up points away the style and types of games we might end up in cry out for his presence. Yes we may well still get by but this season was about progress and it is frustrating that we will lose the varied option in our attack. Hopefully will be fit and firing next season.

Next season??????

Despite the comments of others, he WILL be a big miss because we've seen what he is capable of, albeit in just a few appearances. Nobody said previously he would be missed because we hadn't seen enough to judge, but now that we have seen, it's perfectly fair to say he will be a miss if he doesn't feature in the coming weeks.

Wissa, Mbeumo and, at times, Schade have provided a superb attacking threat, but we have seen briefly that Thiago can offer something else and valuable. A real shame if his injury is medium or long-term.

Doctor google says:

Bacterial joint inflammation
Treatment involves antibiotics, which can take 2 to 6 weeks. Other treatments include draining fluid from the joint, anti-inflammatory medications, and resting and elevating the joint.
