Introduction

Hi all. American here and have started watching more EPL the last two years. I decided this year I was going to pick a club and follow them all year to learn more about the league in general; told myself I’d give it 5 weeks to see which club drew my attraction.

Week 5 came and I was leaning heavily to Wolves, I liked Lage and his team’s style of play. However, the match they played against Brentford had me rooting for the Bees. Brentford is a damn fun club to follow and I hope the run continues, I’ll be on the couch every Saturday/Sunday morning rooting them on.

Not that any of you care about the above, but just thought I’d share since I’ll be lurking around. Feel free to impart some knowledge on the history of the club, regular chants/songs, and anything else you think I should know.

I wish the Bees nothing but the best this year.

you will need to understand the culture on here. Demographic is older age. Humour priceless, as long as you get London/ British, sense of the, piss take.
as to the football you have chosen a team that is built with strong foundations, great morals, along with being the most forward thinking, initiative club, structures within football.
It’s taken time to get here but we are here to stay.

I don’t know a single Bees fan. My wife is from Bosnia and a ManU fan. I enjoy watching them but have no reason to follow them religiously.

I’m in Lewisville, north suburb of DFW and been here for 5 years. I’m from a smaller town in West Texas originally.

This is great info and I appreciate you sharing. I heard on a broadcast that Brentford doesn’t sing players over 30?

What other info should I know about the building process and the rise to the Premier League? I’m also doing research on my own, so I won’t lean on the board for everything.

If I had my way, it wouldn’t turn on until at least November. My wife has other plans (we haven’t utilized it yet, though).

i think that the most important current fact that you need to know is, our owner in his early years stood ( yes we were once allowed to stand at games, hopefully this will return soon ) in the stands watching his hero’s.
He has since become a wealthy man, using his knowledge, company ( moneyball type, but so , so much more ) plus a lot of his time and money taken us all on this incredible journey to the premier league. Without him we would not be exchanging these messages.
His love of the club his now owns flows through it, it is so much more than a business or franchise.
From the top all the way down, the togetherness within the club is like no other.
The whole ethos of everything is what you felt come through your TV from the team playing the game.
we will be singing loud and proud on Sunday.

I think the world could use more teeth brushing as a whole.

One of my favorite things about Brits is the ability to insult. Half of my fun here will hopefully be learning new ways to dish those out this side of the pond.

The real legend to research is Craig Pead.

He single handedly prevented us from being relegated from the Football League in 2008, earning legend status by securing consecutive places in the PFA League Two Team of the Year and earning a big money move to Coventry Sphinx in 2010.
