Ipswich (A)

On the one hand I’m happy that it goes immediately to all STH as I’ll have the chance to get one with my daughter who has many less Taps than me (she has about 1800).
On the other hand, from speaking to various Bees over recent weeks I do think it will sell out very quickly and some high Tappers may miss out.

FFS. It's "fewer".

Ipswich (A)

Can see this going T!TS UP .
Once a year they do this
Luton last season
Bournemouth season before.
ETC

Ipswich (A)

OK so we've been in touch with the club over this

Here's the STH sales for various away matches this season

Man city 1179
Spurs 2456
Man Utd 1861
Everton 1626
Southampton 2435
West Ham 2088
Chelsea 2424
Crystal Palace 2398

Tickets available at Bournemouth was 1296, and even that match didn't sell out to STHers (1146 if you want to know)

Given the above it appears to me that it is most unlikely that we will sell the 3000 tickets we have for this before the sales window go beyond season ticket holders

Anyone disagree?

Just to note that 5% is always held back for members ballot for Cat A which is why Bournemouth didn't sell out to STHs.

Valid points, and i suspect it wont sell out to ST holders. But what i does is leave the club open for criticism.

But looking at those stats i guess they are justified to sell them like this.

I reckon that demand will be higher then normal.

Luton and Bournemouth have tiny allocations
Ipswich have 3000

More than enough to satisfy everyone on here

I think the data is clear here. Will be a quick sell out but no Southamptongate of 2005.

That wasn't Neal's debut, that came a week earlier against Forest at home. He scored in the Forest game and also midweek at home to Bristol City before the Ipswich game.
Sorry, my mistake.
Old and addled I’m afraid.
And never really bothered about letting the facts get in the way of a good story ?

Ipswich (A)

Well I do accept that how long the journey is depends where you live. :)

It's one of the better ones for me too. Was just thinking from west London some might be underestimating the schlep. Really looking forward to it.
Spot on @Cobbett .
Allow an extra hour if driving.
The A12 really is toilet, especially the Copdock A12/A14 interchange.

Ipswich (A)

Sale info no longer on website
So if I had not started this thread and the club had not been alerted by the GpG then sales to all ST would have gone ahead as expected

I don't think it's changing. Unless BIAS/BU have suggested reserving the best seats by TAPs?

Ipswich (A)

Not sure why if it goes to Members, why we all in the same window.

As a member of the top tier of TAPs members, could this mean the difference of upgrading to a season ticket next season. Hopefully not. I have done several home and aways aways this season.

Ipswich (A)

On the same day Bees United send out a survey asking 'what could be done better to make your away day experiences better'!

???

Everything to do with the club off-field is laughable.
Really? I can buy tickets and renew our season tickets easily, season ticket prices have been frozen, shirts last 2 years, I can keep up to date with the latest club news through web or app, the stadium is welcoming, we feel safe going to games, the catering is passable (as with most stadia), the after game in the Dug out is good, in stadium info is very clear, the club ask my views regularly some people even get a congratulations phone call on a special birthday……..Yes I can see where you are coming from

But apart from that, what have Brentford football club ever done for us?

Ipswich (A)

I first went to Ipswich in 1999 for the League cup tie there.
A beautiful august day iirc.
We lost 2-0

2nd Leg at GP was a total eclipse of the Sun that day.

Very true, although BIAS and BU have to keep them in check on most of these.

Which is great. Checks and Balances. Without which undoubtedly executive departments can in their enthusiasm lose perspective. To be clear I was responding to the oft heard condemnation of the off field delivery as being crap. It obviously is not.

If people think is bad now, they have forgotten how bad it really was about twenty years ago or were not around!

There are some improvements that could be made, which is why the club asks for constructive criticism/feedback.

That's missing the point totally. Twenty-odd years ago everything was crap so it was to be expected. Now we're in the elite league, the off-field set up needs to be elite too. And it's not.

Isn’t digital ticketing putting us in the elite league?

I agree the tickets for Ipswich aways (and some comms about the future tap changes) could have been better planned, although saying everything off the field is a crap is stretching it (I am being polite) and a bit of an insult to many hardworking staff and active volunteers and fans of our supporters groups to be honest.

I’d argue that there is nothing to stop the off field setup being elite regardless of the level of football.

Ipswich (A)

Any reason why the sales time is 3pm and not the normal 2pm?

Ipswich (A)

Yes because 2pm is being used for Forest away Members tickets
