A 10% sell-on clause was reported at the time of his transfer to Coventry.

I'm not at liberty to say otherwise it will be all over the GPG which will result in a thread on whom we should spend the monies and furthermore...........

.............and as I was saying I am always happy to share things with my friends from the GPG so the answer to your question is 10% of anything over £100,000.

I hate QPR as much as the next bees fan but my problem with Martin Rowlands was due to the fact he slagged us off in the press after signing for them (this despite claiming to be a bees fan all his life) not the fact he took a move to a bigger club.

He's too good for them. He could easily be picked up by a promoted side at the end of the season like Wolves, Birmingham, etc. I don't see a move to QPR as a good move for him as that place is a circus and if he moves again, he needs stability. Also I believe a bigger Championship club or even Premier League club will come in for him if he keeps performing for Coventry. Add to the situation that he says he loves Brentford, surely he wouldn't go to QPR... would he?

I find it hard to believe he would sell his house before a move especially if he is going to a club like QPR as they would sort all that out for him.
Shouldnt go to Palace as they rejected him as a youngster and they are no better than Coventry. Havent seen enough of him to say whether he is ready for the step up to premiership. Personally QPR would be a good move for his career as they will eventually build a strong promotion squad
I think the "I will not sign for a club who Bees fans hate" was all about when he was leaving us. Their are plenty of pros who have played for their arch rivals (Dalgliesh and Carragher are two). Dont forget he is a Chelsea fan

What's more important to us, seeing a former player sign for QPR or effectively getting QPR to pay us a decent six figure (hopefuly) sell on fee...

If he did join QPR I would still hold him in high status as an ex-bee, unless he started griping about us in the press, which I don't think he would as he seems to have a genuine affection for the club. This is the same reason Andy Sinton would get a good ovation if he bought a team to Griffin Park because despite leaving us to join QPR he never bad-mouthed the club.

I like to think of us as a high class of supporter who do not boo ex-players simply because they joined another club

Wouldn't like to see Jay celebrating a goal in the hooped shirt but if we get £100K out of it then so be it.
Would still give him a good reception if he ever came back as he never gave less than 100% in a Bees shirt.
