And I live here

I think the penny has finally dropped for BIG TEL. Brentford are NOT a big attraction for players and the fact that he is " frustrated" after one month in the job says it all. If you're frustrated now Tel wait and see how you feel by Christmas ??

Jo Kuffour

Boring!!

What a load of tosh...if Joe decides to go I don't toss where it is...cold wet Yorkshire (with people who are rude and talk funny) or those southerners (softies & old farts) at Bournemouth. :fishing: :fishing:

As far as I'm concerned if he doesn't want to play for the Bees he can go screw himself wherever. Harsh but fair imho :sorted:

On the other hand if he signs for us......Welcome Joe;)

And the award for most random quoting of a post in 2007 goes to.........................

Jo Kuffour

Typical negative Brentford fans. Normally contracts run to the end of June. Then the action starts. I for one am going to be positive.IMO nothing will ever be as bad as last season.

When has he said he is frustrated  :fishing:

Jo Kuffour

When has he said he is frustrated  :fishing:

When he used the phrase "frustrated" he was talking about the process of trying to sign players and was referring to players being away, competition with other clubs etc. He didn't say he was frustrated with Brentford but I guess if it suits peoples arguments to assume that then why not use it.

Jo Kuffour

location, location, location.

He can carry on living in London or its environs

I agree that proximity to London, rather than idyllic countryside and rolling green pastures, could swing it if Joe has a choice where he is of to.

Jo Kuffour

I dont think it is much more comforting that TB is "frustrated" because of players being away at this time of year. Surely he must have known that would be the case?

Imagine how he will feel when something unexpected crops up!

Jo Kuffour

It's quite a hard decision for Jo when you think about it. He's 25, obviously far too good for league 2 but wants to stay south and keep proving himself at a higher level. If we were strong favourites to go up he might want to stay with us but with the club in the current situation it's surely not very appealing for a player with his abilities to spend his peak back where he started?

Surely he wants to be really ambitious so I guess waiting to see if a bigger London\South club comes in for him is the only option. We have to accept being down on his list of choices I would suspect. Shame he was only offered a 1 year contract.

I'd be fairly surprised and over the moon if he stayed.

Jo Kuffour

Jo Jo Wont Go Bournemouth, Cant See It Personally.

I'm Sure Jo Will Be With Us Next Season Unless Someone Like Palace Or QPR Came In Fro Him But Cant See That Happening

Jo Kuffour

hes a decent player but this forum makes him out like hes ronaldinho or something.

his record is decent enough for us, but if i was a manager of a championship team i would want to sign someone with more than a 1 season history of an average goal tally in league 1.

14 goals last season
9 goals the season before
8 the season before that

Jo Kuffour

Surely you mean the man who said "Lloyd Owusu Would Be Staying"?

;)

But he is really the man who Lloyd Owusu spoke to and Lloyd Owusu told him that "Lloyd Owusu Would Be Staying"

Jo Kuffour

Doesn't anyone fear that if we end up signing Kuffour up on much better wages he could turn out like Frampton and O'Connor did last season?

Please check the little words under your name for a reference.....

Jo Kuffour

housing costs are far, far lower in bournemouth; he has lived on the coast before so obviously likes the seaside life (so do i...);they are in a high division than we will be and he is out of contract so he won't cost them a bean...... and jo has probably negotiated a signing-on fee too.

good luck to him, if he goes there. of course shame for us. but no surprise at all.

life goes on!

Jo Kuffour

He is off Bournemouth according to today's paper. Not to worried if he had wanted to play for us he would of signed straight away instead of hawking himself around to the highest bidder.I think charlie is a lot better prospect than jo.Bye jo and thanks for last season.

Jo Kuffour

Suprised he would turn down 'Uddersfield for Bournemouth ?

As has been said in many papers he wants to remain in London, so journey time is not much different and the Uddersfield ( to me anyway ) are a far bigger club with more exposure and expectation than Bournemouth

Bournemouth is about 100 miles nearer to London than Huddersfield.

And if he lives in south west London he can go straight there on the M3, against the flow of traffic

Jo Kuffour

if his agent is worth his money, he would know very well they have just received £200K from Donny for Hayter, and some of that would be very nice in Mr Kuffours pocket as a little sweetener.

Jo Kuffour

Personally if I was the Brentford board I'd offer Jo a really good three year deal - he is nailed on to score hatfulls of goals against the crap in division 2 and then they can shift him out like DJ Campbell and make a huge profit - but I bet they don't - most on this board seem like halfwits to me.

Just as well you are not on the board then IMO....:)

Nobody is 'nailed on' to score a hatfull of goals, let alone, a club buying him....... he could have a career threatening injury in a pre-season friendly. Then what would you do then, if you were on the board?

:owusu:

slabber slabber, bloodlust....name names..which board members are half wits...????

surely if this is the case, they are not able to be board members....

good work Furburt !

come on, name those names, and lets see the half wits involved in ruining the club

and its as easy as that right?

i think some people see this as a very easy club to run when they dont have to make any decisions.

Halfwits would look like intellectual giants compared to you!

So according to you, teams in Div 2 are crap are they? Tell that to MK Mongs or Peterborough. Both sides are More than capable of giving Brentford a whipping with or without JK.

Bournemouth cheaper to live in than Brentford?

Jo Kuffour

Doesn't really mean much but the most expensive property on Rightmove for Brentford is £900,000. For Bournemouth it's £2,100,000.

It takes us more time to get to Bournemouth than it does to Huddersfield, even though Bournemouth is about 80 miles closer - either way, why would a London based player who wants to stay living in London want to go to Bournemouth than Huddersfield?
Money talks maybe, don't know each to their own.
However a run of the mill house in Bournemouth is cheaper than Brentford (infact you can get a 33bedroomed house for 1.2million but I dont think Jo would be interested in that sort of house...he'd get lost ! ) I dont think you would a get a 33bedroomed house in Brentford or anywhere surrounding do you?? lol

Are you walking to Bournemouth and driving to Huddersfield

I've never done Huddersfield in less than three hours by car, the winding Yorkshire roads off the M1 and the motorway itself are a nightmare a lot of the time.

Bournemouth is a piece of piss, 70 minutes door to door if you get it right.

either way, why would a London based player who wants to stay living in London want to go to Bournemouth than Huddersfield?

I reckon you can live in south west London and play for Bournemouth, you can't play for Huddersfield if you live here.

Jo Kuffour

I hate to say this but here goes

If Jk goes to Bournemouth that he has gone on my list and as far as im concerned he might aswell **** off now,i really hope he doesnt leave us for a club like that :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: to jk going anywhere

Jo Kuffour

where would you prefer him to go, oh casual one ?

Jo Kuffour

from bbcsport
Brentford striker Jo Kuffour is close to joining Bournemouth after rejecting the chance to go to Huddersfield.
wtf
