I reckon he'll stay cos he's unambitious

Are you walking to Bournemouth and driving to Huddersfield
I've never done Huddersfield in less than three hours by car, the winding Yorkshire roads off the M1 and the motorway itself are a nightmare a lot of the time.
Blimey WEB, how do you get there?? Last time we played them when we won 2-0  - took 2hrs 45 going (M1 crawled along in the slowest lanes through Luton - then the country roads ) coming back jumped straight on M62 to junction 42 M1, then 2hrs and 8 mins![]()
Bournemouth last time took us 2 and a half hours, crawled along past Fleet and then the M3/M27 turnoff took us half hour![]()
Depends where you live in London though doesn't it!![]()
Never say never![]()
Just as well you are not on the board then IMO....![]()
Nobody is 'nailed on' to score a hatfull of goals, let alone, a club buying him....... he could have a career threatening injury in a pre-season friendly. Then what would you do then, if you were on the board?

Surely if we're not showing the commitment to the good players they're going to keep leaving us for clubs who do?
Jo won't be a flop as he is a too good player, imagine him in a team that plays better then last season.
If you're scared of signing players on a 3 year contract because they might get a career threatening injury then why be in football?
I'd happily give Jo a 3 year contract, knowing he was in the team alone would make me buy a season ticket, he's a great player to watch.

Or put another way, and slightly off topic, but the club showed KOC & Frampton the sort of commitment you are asking, and look what happened to their form after that?
I am not saying that Jo would be a flop, as it happens he is an exciting player. I am trying to say that it is not a guarentee that he will score goals as he may receive a long term injury before he kicks a ball in the league!!!
I just dont want the club to be giving such long contracts to players, the most I would give is two year plus club option (as per Ide). The best option for me, is a year contract with a club option, as this is in the best interest of the club - not the player. Another reason for not giving a three year contract, is that the manager has only got a two year contract I seem to recall - why on earth give a player a contract longer than his??
Plus Brooker was given a three year deal and look what happened to him...![]()

I agree with what you're saying.
But I'd be most annoyed if the reason Jo didn't stay was because we didn't offer him the 3 year deal he wanted. All speculation I know![]()
Jo would be worth a gamble for me. Plus if he had a storming season in league 2 we'd still have him for 2 years....show us the money if you want him ££££££££££££
Anyone else heard any rumours about Kuffour maybe going to Bournemouth? Or is he being linked to every club above us at the moment?

Didn't Torquay announce that he was going to sign a contract?

I met a mate of mine today who supports Bournemouth and he was confident that Jo Kuffour was going to sign for them.
where would you prefer him to go, oh casual one ?
I met a mate of mine today who supports Bournemouth and he was confident that Jo Kuffour was going to sign for them.

Lets face it there can't be many clubs in the south who will be offering less than we can afford so he could probably go just about anywhere in the 3rd or 4th division south of Brum.
... if he's going, the sooner he goes the better as we'll have a better idea of available money and the players we need
Stay where you're appreciated and bang in some goals then, loveKaffour is believed to be seeking a return to League One football
to the scumbags orient ,JK STAY AT GRIFFIN PARK and score the goals that take us back to where we belong I wouldn't mind if our best player left to join a 'big club'. I could handle that!
But Orient & Bournemouth...?![]()
My Orient mate Big Gay Nige reckons he is off to the ooze![]()
Anyway what happened to all the nod, nod, wink wink brigade on here who told us months ago he had already agreed to go to a Championship club?? Load of b****cks that all was....

I'm sure when we signed Jo he had told Torquay he would sign a new deal with them when he was on holdiay when he got back he signed for us![]()
tbh if he's going to go, he should just p!ss off now and be done with it. It's not doing us any favours having to wait and see if he can get a better offer elsewhere.. We need to have some semblance of a squad together for pre-season training and that's looking less and less likely at the moment..![]()

Isn't that what MA did last year?![]()
