Oh it's club employees as well is it? I wondered why PeterG doesn't occassionally post anymore to dispel some misconceptions. I thought it was because there weren't any recently

I heard on the radio this morning that the MCC are looking for a new CEO I bet the headhunters have got JM

Where can the rest of us get hold of it?

Joe is OK by me - He tried to do what he could withing the limitations he was probably given (Maybe not ?) but at least he gave a point of view that could be debated. Some agreed with hiom, some disagreed - That is the world we live in.

I have met Joe a few times recently and in my opinion he truly has the best interest of BFC in his heart. If he was paid by the hour for the work he does for BU we would have no problem raising a million - We would just get it from Joe

I would be very disapointed if he was in fact now barred from posting on the GPG due to BFC employee regulations.

He's not a BFC employee though!

Who makes these rules anyway?

hey ,Paul ,lend us £8m ?

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

In the business world I live in, company regulations are normally signed into force by the CEO after being checked for legality by Human Resouces Dept

At BFC though, it could be Winnie :-)

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

Bigbee

I have no dount that many people would if they could have GP as security - It would take about 30 minutes to sort that out - But you have then rolled the dice and there is no way back if matters did not go to plan and the dice roll 7 (Craps)

Hence BU

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

Can someone - anyone! - please explain why has Joe Bourke been elected to the BFC board? With the make up of the BFC board expected to change after October 1st (as per I believe Joe's own comment not so long ago) this seems somewhat odd to me...

It'd be rather interesting if a non-Director CEO (work that one out) could issue a dictat stating what his Directors could and could not do wouldn't it (double work that one out!)

Let's not forget two weeks or so back Joe said on here that John Mac's employment at BFC was "fine by me".

I've corrected this before from other posters. Joe said that John Mac's employment was "fine by me" but also if he left, that was also fine. Hardly a ringing endorsement and must be viewed in the wider context of his post.

Surely BU would want their full entitlement of Directors on the BFC Board at all times.

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

I wish Joe all the best. Inevitably he will be slagged off by some of the people on here - what else would you expect when an earlier poster has been asked his age when posting something contrary to the views of the "GPG inner circle".
Do not be surprised if Joe cannot post on here, board members and employees with access to boardroom discussions are normally bound by confidentiality agreements whether it is Brentford or any other entity.

Really hope we can all move forward now, and get closer to that £1m target.

So he can't express his view on Man of the Match? :)

You can have a view or whatever without breaching "confidentiality agreements"

The same should apply to all BU board members, should it not? He has had access to BFC boardroom discussions for a long time as part of his role at BU.

They are going to be running this club soon by all accounts.

I also wish Joe all the best in his new position.

If he turns out to be as inept arrogant and insular as his predecessor i'm sure he will get "slagged off" on here. However if he decides to engage with Bees fans on here and in other ways i'm sure he'll find a wealth of support, help, assistance and goodwill. I won't be expecting him to give us a blow-by-blow insight into each and every BFC board meeting, but perhaps he'll have the foresight to use this board (and others) to guage opinion and keep in touch with the people who have out him where he now is.

Believe it or not rick, most people who post on here have the best interests of BFC at heart, if Joe turns out to be one such person we will all be very happy.

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

Banna - Oops - I had forgotten that the We are Lucky To Have Him (Mr Finch) was not a Director. I would therfore have to assume that a Board mandate was given to Mr Finch to put in place.

Luton Bee - Excellent post. But how dare you say that most have the best interest of BFC at heart :-)

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

To celebrate the clean slate, and despite being an impecunious tax-dodging student, I have just donated £20 to Back the Bees. I suggest you all do likewise. I thank you.

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

Well I guess it won't be long before we find out whether John Mac fell on his sword or was asked to step down, whether he's taken the money and run or done the honourable thing and gone without a payoff...

Lots of questions but none really are relevant at this time are they? With 13 days to go I bet Uncle Ron is laughing all the way to the bank.

Am I naive in wishing we could find someone on the BFC Board/Management or at BU or BIAS who could unify the troops and be a leader?

Time to step up and make it happen...

Is the "GPG inner circle" the same thing as the magic circle, full of smoke and mirrors ??

It was first mooted a few years ago that that was the problem.

John Mac wouldn't have it though and what he said went - he has an awaful lot to answer for imho but I guess you all know that if you've logged on to the GPG at any time in the last couple of years ! :mad1:

We're right in the sticky stuff folks !

More excitingly, do you have to wear a costume to attend meetings?

Where can you get an application form?

Do they have a loyalty scheme e.g. number of postings on GPG?

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

I just read the BU statement which says "he was instrumental in building a constructive relationship with the Club's owners and with Hounslow Council". Excellent - someone tell me when the new stadium opens?

John Mac Has Resigned (Split/Merged Threads)

That would be roughly five years away.

It's one of those new types of project. It has an end date but the start date is flexible / unknown/ cannot be revealed/ is confidential*.

*Delete as appropriate.

You would have thought- reading the comments here over the months- that there would be bachanalian orgies in Hounslow now that John Mac has gone, but everyone still seems to be moaning. Now that he has left, perhaps people will pony up and we will reach that £1million mark. PMA :sorted:

Do you know who took this decision to bar the GPG for employees? Was it John Mac?

If you'd been elected in place of Hall would you have stopped posting on here? I don't see how they could have stopped you if a majority of BU members had elected you, especially over something as trivial as contributing to a website.
