 back in the real world, have you heard about Spain? injury doubts to Fabregas, Xavi, Iniesta and Torres - is that 4 of the top 20 players in the world, maybe? derailing what might be Spain's best ever chance of winning the World Cup?

but woe is us too. meh - we've got other centre-backs. he's probably just hurt a toenail anyway, don't panic.

So i suppose if the Reblublic got there (fat chance) and had Robbie Keane out in similar circumstances,I guess you would apply the same thinking ie "we've got other strikers ya know" (step forward Kevin Doyle).

I make 90% of what you say spot on,but when it comes to any England team you are just like banana...absolutely full of it

John Terry

fair enough i guess. i dislike Terry the person, probably clouds my view on Terry the player

No I haven't and personally I don't give a flying **** about Spain. All I care about is England having their strongest/best players available for a major tournament. Everytime there is one we seem to suffer from injuries.

Anyway, now looks like it was all a scare. I'm just hoping he and the other English players make it through the cup final.

John Terry

This is the World Cup not football manager.

Of course but the stats prove Dawson has had the best season out of all our possible defenders. I think he deserves his chance even if that is him just making it too SA. Although personally i would like to see him play.

John Terry

Old news I know.

Ed Terry.

I wonder if there were any samples for the rest of the family;)

..........................did they get the address right?.................more likely to have been Chavford, I'd have thought...................:)

I think you would have to go a long way to find someone who does like the big-headed,adultering ******,but he is a fine defender and natural leader, and I really don't want to see Matt Upson playing this summer :(:D

John Terry

oof. the problem is, many English players aren't familiar with the formation. they should be good enough to make it work, especially with a master tactician working intensively with them on the training ground. however, the spacing and knowing where your colleagues are is crucial... it'd be a big risk.

I believe NASA may be working on a probe that will explore deep space.

Not to sure if 'finding someone who likes John Terry' was on the specification, but certainly Neptune was.

Maybe all Terry's reprehensible behaviour has been leading up to a Beckham style redemption in South Africa.
Its the only thing that will save him for been recorded in history as a "tool"

Or he might get redemption by joining Manchester United. In 2007, three of the Manchester United players allegedly ‘roasted’ a 19-year-old girl; the entire team with the exception of Ronaldo was at the sleazy Christmas party, there was also a serious allegation of rape. The incident was not taken seriously by the authorities, nobody was punished in anyway, the tabloids covered the incident as a bit of gossip, and the graphic description was designed to titillate the readers rather than express moral indignation.:fishing:

John Terry

Once a cockney always a cockney;)

Ed terry says he was drunk and was targetted, the bottom line is he is a 54 year old father with two sons who play professional football and he is dealing drugs.

For christ sake, he should not even know where to get drugs from or even what they are at his age let alone dishing them out in night clubs.

Perhaps because the girl wanted it originally, then once it was over was affected psychologically, feeling used, abused, objectified and left with no reputation, other than 'I got roasted by Man Utd' - so cried rape. Rape has a 5-6% conviction rate here. Are you trying to claim that because it was Man Utd, and not Chelsea, that the players 'got away with it', so to speak?

There's rose-tinted glasses and then there's absurd levels of fatuousness :sorted:

"Perhaps" is a big word which qualifies what you followed it with as being just one possibility rather than a statement of fact. I was observing that the treatment of individual situations by the press and tabloids doesn't have any consistent basis. In neither Terry's nor the Man U 2007 situation was there any legal conviction so the press was free to pass judgment and publish as they alone saw fit. In treating the two cases the press gave high profile to and censured Terry's behaviour while treating the Man U 2007 Christmas Sex party situation as mere gossipy trivia.

I don't think for a moment that the authorities were motivated by any preference for one football club or another but the press decides its own opinions and makes them public as any impartial reader of the Telegraph or the Guardian will know from the respective political orientation of those two newspapers.

Just watched that he shouted blind don't think Cole who was walking past him would have been happy if he said black

John Terry

It is clearly blind not black

Could be "bland" or "blinky" ? :dog:

Cashley would have married him if it was a racist attack. :fishing:

isn't calling him blind more offensive than black? Ferdinand is black and not blind after all? i am offended on behalf of shortsighted people.

John Terry

He is due to open a snake shop in Surbiton this afternoon! Wondering whether he will turn up now.

I am a keen football fan and can confirm Anton Ferdinand is black.
He is not on my footballers who are registered as blind list.
I am not sure if he is a c*** though and you would need to ask him yourself - which I think was John Terry's point....
