John Terry

I'm content for this thread to be used to discuss the recent stories about John Terry know that they are widely reported in the press, obviously including the issues surrounding Terry continuing as England captain.

However, please refrain from speculation that is not widely reported in the UK press and other members of the Terry family whether or not it has been reported in the UK press or not.

The lady in question has apparently engaged the services of a Mr Max Clifford. She no doubt hopes Mr Clifford will help her through this trying time by making her shed loads of money. No doubt a career as a Z list celeb beckons. Mr Terry has form for all sorts of shennanigans and brushes with the law. He already has shed loads of money. Both are consenting adults and allegedly in control on their mind and therefore destiny.

Elsewhere in the news, hundreds of thousands are still homeless and hungry in Haiti following an earthquake.

Close the thread.

A footballer does something 'morally' wrong but isn't illegal. It's hardly news. He's England captain because he's passionate about the game, good leader etc. not because he's a do-gooder. Who are they going to replace him with? A player who's too dopey to remember he's had a drugs test? Someone who punches DJ's in the face?

John Terry

Not sure what he's done wrong.... perfect positioning to get the header in from the corner :)

John Terry

This does seem to have whipped up the media into a great frenzy. Who started the "Capello to drop JT as captain" ridiculous story?

Unfortunately, he and many other top-level footballers each has an industry of hangers-on (aka advisors) built around them, usually because they are unable to think for themselves. His big mistake (and I guess it was under advice) was to try to take on the Red-Tops with the legal system. If he'd ingored it he would have had a couple of weeks of headlines and then it would have all been forgotten - who really cares about footballers screwing around - but he's challenged the media and the media will chastise him. I almost feel sorry for him.

England does not have anyone else with captain potential, so , we'll just have to learn to live with it. At least they've ignored me.

Apparently Wayne Bridge has made a model of his cock made out of Cadburys chocolate for his missus... she said 'Thanks but I prefer Terry's....'

John Terry

Wayne Bridge is reserve left back who probably should be behind Warnock based on this season performances, Terry should not have done it but from what I've read they were already split up so in the end the only one hurt should be his wife but he's done it before and I doubt its a shock to her.

John Terry

It does however make a mockery out of the Daddies sauce - Daddy of the year awards which Terry won in 2008. Such a prestigious award ruined!

But he will have to sit in the dressing room and make stirring comments like "we are in this together mates" "let's go out there together and show them we are united (well not that united)"

The dressing room is bound to be divided now, you would see that in an office, Sunday league dressing rooms etc. he has to step down so that the FA are not having to make the decision

John Terry

I can't help thinking the decision to allow the press to publish all this has set an interesting precedent. I wonder how many other footballers, managers and ex-pros are now nervously wondering if they will be next!

Lots of pious guff in the press today. As if any of this matters, particularly for England selection. The press should leave him alone, we all know what he is like from previous escapades.

Carefree wherever you may be, don't leave your wife with john terry...

I'd have thought that players would queue up to be in the same squad as JT; they'd want to know were he was when they were away from their partners!

John Terry

Can't even be arsed reading about it. Take it he's shagged someone has he?

John Terry

Now the Sports Minister is getting involved and want talks with the FA over Terry's suitability as England captain!

Sorry, but i dont see Trevor Brooking asking to see Gordon Brown for a meeting as he doesnt think MP's should be buying duck houses for their homes with taxpayers money!

The FA shold tell Sutcliffe to Terry Off! Anyway i thought FIFA had rules about goverment involvement in internal football affairs.

John Terry

All sympathy with Bridge's ex bird went out the window when she asked Max Clifford to represent her and todayin an interview he said:-

''I can't say anything at the moment but lets just see what happens in next week's Sunday tabloids...'

good to know the country is such a good state that the sports minister has time to pontificate over this

John Terry

Do you think Capello had some inside information on all of this prior to it being released in the press, hence the real reason he will not let the Wags go to South Africa being it may distract Mr Terry from his training, as he'll be thinking about which of his teamates birds he'd like to knob next???

John Terry

Joe Cole's Mrs would have been a better result.

John Terry

I thought all the fuss was the fact the lady concerned is French, it is less than six months til the World Cup and pillow talk could jeopardise our chances of reaching the quarter finals.

If he was batting for the other side would this be a story?

They do.
That is why Togo are banned from the next 2 African Cups.

John Terry

The media has got its head up its bottom pontificating on this. What makes them think they are the self-appointed guardians of the country's morals when they are generally pond-life in the morality stakes? It's not at all surprising that an unheard of government minister wants to join in, is it?

In France, I doubt that it will be considered interesting at all; they'd probably be shocked it he didn't.

John Terry

if this was the captain of the French Football team or the captain of the gay England team it would be a non story.

As long as John Terry doesnt try to shag Wayne Bridge during a match then it doesnt really bother me.
