When whites become the ethnic minority I would love to be a fly on the wall listening to people defend Sharia law. John Terry is in a public role. As Chris Huhne also realises, you cannot be charged with a serious offence and continue in a high-profile role. Innocent until proven guilty, yes. Very relevant because it shows how the media and some people are blind to bigger issues. We Had a news channel removed off the sky platform recently due to US pressure on the govt. This news channel gave an alternative view on things,it wasnt liked.

Calling someone a c**t is offensive but just an insult, when you add a persons race to the matter you are effectively calling into question something that the person has no control over. It would be just as offensive were Terry saying 'disabled c**t' or 'homosexual c**t', if the recipient was either of those things.

Why mention race at all? If John Terry wanted to insult anton ferdinand he could have done so without giving 'black' as a qualifier to his statement.

The thread is about John Terry and guilty or not of the latest allegation the tide seems to be turning against him in may ways. He seems to be deeply unpopular with many of his fellow professionals and I wonder if his England days are over for good whatever the outcome. I would not even be surprised even to see him jet of to the USA to end his playing days sooner rather than later.

He is still a very good footballer and you can see today that Chelsea might have kept onto that lead with him in the team, you could also see how off the pace Rio Ferdinand was so maybe we are looking at neither being in the Euro Champs squad

It seems to me that Terry took a tactical decision to go for an adjournment in the hope that he would be able to take part in the tournament, and possibly, in the light of a favourable result for England, things might blow over.

If that were the case, he has made an enormous miscalculation in his naive failure to recognise that the FA could not allow themselves to become hostage to fortune should England win the tournament.

I suspect that he will now miss out on selection for the Euros, or having received advice, will declare himself unavailable.

Never mind, I expect that Lord Leytonstone is ready to step in.

Apparently it was Chelsea that requested the delay not Terry but regardless think it was a mistake and if tax payers money has to be wasted on something so frivolous it should be done and dusted. Don't think Terry or the Ferdinands are worth all the fuss.
